I would prefer to close this bug.

Firebird has a special problem to save data without pressing "Save" in the
database file. This is reported in bug 117513. So you have to open the database
also if you are working with database browser in Writer or Calc.

Unzip the file, register database for Firebird as "Beispiel_Sport" and add data
in form.

Would be the same reason.

Open the attached *.zip. Unpack it.
Register database "Beispiel_Sport_Firebird.odb" as "Beispiel_Sport".
Start the external form.
Change data. When switching from on row to another data seem to be changed.
Close the form and LO.
Reopen LO and the form.
Data won't be saved.

You have to open the database before you close LO.
Then you have to save the database.

So external forms won't work with Firebird.

2021-07-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140285

LibreOffice and MS Office do not use the same format for their files by
default. As we have seen, LibreOffice uses ODF. For their part, older versions
of MS Office use a closed format (DOC, XLS, etc.) that only Microsoft knows in
depth. Unlike the previous format, this can be considered an open format (like
ODF) and has become an ISO/IEC 29500 international standard.

While the latest versions of LibreOffice and MS Office offer compatibility for
all of these formats - and many more - the truth is that they are not perfect,
which often means that the files in the program are not perfect. one program
doesn't look the same in another. Of course, this is more serious in the case
of LibreOffice, as it is less used than MS Office.

You just need to take the duplicate search one step further. By sorting the
lists you want to select by color. Just by doing so, you can make bulk changes
to duplicate items and cells more easily. This will help you delete the items
easily. You just need to do it in a few ways:

First, you click anywhere in the data range. Then click Data>Sort &
Filter>Sort. Next, select the area you want to filter for the Sort by option.
Click to select a cell color in the Sort on drop-down list.

Next, choose a color in the order menu, then top in the last dropdown

Select the shape or text you want to assign a new color to. (To select multiple
objects, press Ctrl and then click the shape.)
On the Shape or Format tab, choose either Shape Fill (if you're filling a
shape) or Text Fill (if you're filling text).
Point to the color you want to apply, and then click. Color is immediately
applied to the slide background.

If you want all the slides in the file to have the same background, at the
bottom of the Format Background pane, select Apply to All.

If you've changed your mind and don't want to apply the color, at the bottom of
the Format Background pane, select Reset Background.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 84670] Conditional formatting changes row height

2021-07-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84670

Dear rlk,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 47979] Writer TABLES: impossible to select table

2021-07-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47979

Dear sasha.libreoffice,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 143327] New: UX issues with hex color input

2021-07-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143327

Bug ID: 143327
Summary: UX issues with hex color input
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.0.4 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu
Blocks: 113223

Open eg. a document, then Format -> Page Style..., switch to Area tab, choose
Color, and check the Hex field.

The field is in overwrite mode since bug 123291's fix.

Note fhe following issues:

1. Selecting the whole content, and typing one hexa character puts caret over
the 1st character (and the next entry will overwrite it), while it should be
over the 2nd, since you just typed the first character.

2. Pressing Backspace / Delete moves caret back to the 1st character. It should
either move back one character in case of backspace, or stay where it is in
case of delete.

Observed in LO 7.3.0.0.alpha0+ (eac5977bfc11797eda356560a5e45c51108ef5a1),
6.3.0.4 / Ubuntu.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 143326] New: Crash in: google_breakpad::ExceptionHandler::HandlePureVirtualCall() FILESAVE

2021-07-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143326

Bug ID: 143326
   Summary: Crash in:
google_breakpad::ExceptionHandler::HandlePureVirtualCa
ll() FILESAVE
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.4.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: r...@panix.com

This bug was filed from the crash reporting server and is
br-25ae643c-773f-4f0b-948b-0dd610f86cd6.
=

For over a year, through many major and minor versions, LO Calc crashes on exit
after opening an xlsx or ods file. If no changes have been made to the file,
the crash is reported on the next open. If changes have been made, sometimes LO
Calc hangs and requires a forced close (and still reports a crash on the next
open).

For what it is worth, I have drivers for a Brother MFC-L2740DW laser printer
and an HP Color LaserJet Pro M254dw on this system (some discussions have
pointed to printer drivers).

I have fully uninstalled LO at various times, but usually update to the next
release version as soon as I can in the hope that this has been resolved.

When I create a new spreadsheet via the context menu shortcut, open it, close
it and reopen it, having entered no data, I get a crash report popup.

As to first steps:
+ In preparing this report I verified that removing/renaming my user profile
does not mitigate the issue.
+ I do have about 300 fonts installed, but unless you can provide a script to
hide them from LO and reinstate them afterward, I am not prepared to do that
testing.
+ Disabling Skia/Vulkan does not mitigate the issue.
+ OpenCL is not in use, and enabling it does not mitigate the issue.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 143325] New: Lost screen prints from odt file

2021-07-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143325

Bug ID: 143325
Summary: Lost screen prints from odt file
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: lg7896-li...@usa.net

Description:
Since Oct 2020 I've kept a Writer file with screen clips of stock charts to
study price behavior. 83 pages. Landscape, usually one clip per page. Sometimes
I add drawings (arrows, lines, rectangles, text) onto/over the clip. Never any
problems. Other LO files open. Today -- in the middle of a session -- I lost
almost all of the screen clips. It still had the normal Writer text, drawings
-- and some old screen clips. I saw it when I switched to that window, and they
were gone. In place of the last one, I saw "Read error" where the upper left of
the clip had been. I closed LO and tried the file again. The "Read error"
message was gone, but still no clips. I rebooted the machine and tried again.
Still no charts. I was able to add another chart where I had planned to, and it
persists when I close/open LO. But all the other ones are still gone. (This is
a 64 bit Intel i7-10750H CPU, not AMD64 as in the Hardware menu.)

Actual Results:
No screen clips appear

Expected Results:
Screen clips should appear

Reproducible: Sometimes

User Profile Reset: Yes

The caption for "Version Information" could be "Click here for Version version
information". I just took a chance clicking the icon. When I take chances like
that, it doesn't always go well, so I like explicit instructions. I'm glad that
LO hasn't given me much cause to do this.

1. Open the attached file
2. Save to DOCX
3. File reload
4. Open the source
5. Take both on single page view zoom-level (90%). But probably depends on
screen DPI and Resolution
6. Flip back forward between ODT/DOCX and notice wiggling text

Actual Results:
Wiggling text

Expected Results:
Same layout (or some would say proper kerning)

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Caolán: another bug I can reproduce on pc Debian x86-64 with master sources
updated today but only with gen and kf5 renderings, not with gtk3.

By the way, I noticed the cross to close the window didn't appear on Design
view the first time for gen and kf5.
I also noticed that if I click on form wizard, the next time I click on "empty
zone" (see attachment 2), it'll open form wizard not Design view.

remark: gtk4 hasn't been available yet on Debian testing.
I suppose it's due to hard freeze of testing so I'll got to wait until

(In reply to bort1352 from comment #7)
> What do you mean by "assign the macro to the same sheet event"?

I even made a screen cast - attachment 173516! It shows you how it works; let
me now describe you what you see.

Initially you see me opening your "FileThatWorks.ods". I enable macros, then I
right-click on the sheet's tab in the bottom, and in the context menu I choose
"Sheet Events" (I would expect that as we are talking about "assigning macros
to sheet events", you would see that it maybe relates to the topic). In the
opened events dialog, I show how this file *already* has the macro
"Standard.MidiEditor.onDblClickCell" assigned to "Double click" event. Then I
demonstrate that in this file, double-clicking cells in column A produces edits
in D3; and then I show that in the same file, trying to run the macro from
*Standard* library *directly* does not work, and fails with "wrong number of
parameters" error!

Then you see how I open the other file ("DOES_NOT_WORK.ods") that you attached
here. After accepting macros, I again right-click on the tab, and show that
this file did not have events assigned to the double-click event; but I then
assign it right here - and I use the macro inside the "MidiWriter" library -
obviously this name is not "Standard". After assigning the macro to the event
and closing the dialog (that is what I suggested you to do!), I show you that
now double-clicking the cells in column A also works as expected *in this your
file*, producing edits in D3. After that, I demonstrate that trying to run the
macro directly still doesn't work from Run Macro dialog (as expected). And
after that, I open Basic IDE, to show you that in this file, the Standard
library is empty, and MidiWriter library has all the code.

For Isn;t I am not. The highlighted portion is "Isn"

I think that "isn;t" should be highlighted and I should be offered the

So, you have to move the cursor; delete the ";", type a "'"

rather than one click of "change" or "correct"

I do it too often.

test_rtf - small sample_msword2003.pdf: As seen in MS Word 2003.

\qc is the code for centred, and \qj is the code for justify.
\s26 and \s28 8 designate the paragraph styles

The RTF contains "2014" in:
\pard\plain \ltrpar\s26\qc
\li0\ri0\sb2760\widctlpar\wrapdefault\aspalpha\aspnum\faauto\adjustright\rin0\lin0\itap0\pararsid12470261

\ltrch\fcs0 \insrsid16197105 20}
{\rtlch\fcs1 \af0 \ltrch\fcs0 \insrsid6190013 14}

but it seems to be affect by the last paragraph (defined after the header)
\pard\plain \ltrpar\s28\qj

Yup - 2014 is on the wrong paragraph and has the wrong paragraph style. It
should be style _Титул_Год создания. There should be a page break AFTER 2014,
not before it. There should be an empty, justified paragraph using paragraph
style _Содержание as the last item in the document.

It seems to be confused because there is no \par adding a Carriage Return after
2014. It immediately jumps to the \sect page break. Adding a CR before the
page break fixes this document.

Yes I've read what you've written.
"Just try assigning the macro to the same sheet event"
If that doesn't mean copy the code exactly to the new library I'm not aware of
what it means. That's exactly what I've done several times is create a new
library and copy the macro code to it, save it, and it errors.

If I knew what I was doing with this stuff and knew all the lingo and terms I
wouldn't be asking for help with it...

What do you mean by "assign the macro to the same sheet event"?

And have *you* read what I wrote?

Could you give a try to LO 7.1.4 from LO ppa (see
https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+archive/ubuntu/ppa)?

Indeed 6.X branch is EOL and there won't be any new LO version on 7.0 branch
after the released 7.0.6 version.

I have copied them exactly from one sheet to the other. Have you tried using a
different library name than "Standard" so it can be password protected? Of
course they work if the library is left named "Standard". As I indicated the
problem appears when the macro codes are copy/pasted to a new library name so
it can be password protected.
