Steps to reproduce: 1. Open attached file, it contains some conditionally formatted text. 2. Set the autofilter on column A to filter for blue text color 3. Change conditional formatting of condition “Cell value starts with “c” from the blue style to Bad style, which has red font color. 4. Save the file as XLSX, reload in Excel Actual results: Excel does not see the autofilter condition as active. Expected results: Excel should see the condition as active, upon changing the “Cell value starts with “c” formats font color back to the blue color it should show it as selected. Starting from an ODS file this problem does not happen. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open the attached file which has an autofilter on Sheet1 but no conditions set 2. Add a new sheet 3. Fill the sheet with some data, and set up conditional formatting on this new data. I set green text color to text starting with M and blue text color on text starting with T in column B. 4. Set an autofilter to the green text color. 5. Save as XLSX and reload. Actual results: The autofilter dropdown does not indicate the green text color being applied to the column B. Then reopen the autofilter for the column, select Text/background color and check the previously used color. With number/text filtering it is enough to open the autofilter and push OK to re-run the filter. But with color filters the OK button is greyed out as if there were no condition defined yet. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open attachment 173243 from bug 143104 2. The column B is filtered for blue text, the first three rows has that. 3. Change the text color in B3 4. Try to re-run the filtering on column B Actual results: The autofilters OK button is greyed out so re-running the filtering is cumbersome as above. Expected results: The autofilters OK button can be pressed and it would hide the row 3 which has now no blue colored font in B3. The document works fine in 7.2.x. I agree that in this specific document, the bookmarks, which happened automatically, for some reason, through copying and pasting, triggered the lag. But several real world documents with no bookmarks are also exhibiting the severe lag. I have not yet determined what exactly about them triggers the lag except that it has something to do in combination with the footnotes category. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 145048] Calc's CELL function: missing functionality
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145048 --- Comment #1 from hardcoder --- Created attachment 175627 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=175627&action=edit Example workbooks using CELL() and their screenshots, zip-packed. I'm uploading three .xlsx workbooks using the CELL function, in a .zip file: 2021-10-10-Highlighter.xlsx: A simple sheet that has a table with some numbers. You can highlight all occurrences of a number in the table by selecting a cell with the number and hitting F9 (recalculate). This was achieved through conditional formatting. 2020-03-09-Cell-controls.xlsx: A sheet showcasing a few in-cell controls: a boolean switcher, a vowel switcher and a spin button. They are reusable within a sheet, thanks to defined names. 2021-03-31-Game03.xlsx: A sokoban-like game (that's right, a spreadsheet game without macros). There are more complex games that can also be made, but I read that I should "make the [attached] document as minimal as possible." I can upload another game on request. These last two workbooks also depend on iterative calculation; as Calc's iteration is replete with bugs, it will certainly take some time before they work well in LibreOffice. But they work fine in Excel for Windows and WPS Office Free. I also included .png screenshots of each workbook. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 145048] New: Calc's CELL function: missing functionality
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145048 Bug ID: 145048 Summary: Calc's CELL function: missing functionality Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.2.1.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: he...@live.co.uk Description: MS Excel's CELL formula function has had a stable behavior for more than 10 years, and WPS Office also follows this standard. As LibreOffice came later than Excel and supports .xls and .xlsx files, it should have a compatible implementation of this function. When a second parameter (a cell reference) is not given to the CELL function, it refers to the last edited cell (when a cell has been edited, triggering a recalc), or to the selected cell (ignoring range selection). In Calc, the function instead refers to the cell the formula is in (not quite useful). This feature is apparently not well-known, but it's a game-changer because it allows interactivity in a spreadsheet without any macros. If used together with iteration, it can even be used to create controls like buttons, check boxes, pickers and spinners/updowns, without need for form controls. Pardon my poor English. Steps to Reproduce: 1. In a new/empty spreadsheet, go to some cell and give it the formula: =CELL("address") Let's say you put that on cell A1. The cell will show an address string like $A$1. 2. Select a random cell and press F9 (recalc). The contents of cell A1 should reflect the address of the last selected cell. 3. Edit some other cell and press Enter. The content of cell A1 should reflect the address of the last edited cell. 4. The CELL function also accepts other values for the first parameter (returning other data about the same cell), such as "col" (returns the column index) and "row" (row index). Actual Results: The formula result is just about the cell it is in, regardless of selection or what cell was edited last. For example if in cell A1 you put =CELL("address"), its result will constantly be $A$1. If it were =CELL("col") or =CELL("row"), the return would be 1 for A1. Expected Results: The cell value should be an address or other attribute of the cell that was last edited by the user, or (if recalc was invoked but no cell was changed) the selected cell. The behavior can be checked at least in Excel for Windows, Excel for Android, Excel Online and WPS Office Free. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: Version: 7.2.1.2 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 87b77fad49947c1441b67c559c339af8f3517e22 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19043; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: threaded -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

So the leak is there, possibly two, but I have 32GB of ram in this box, so the other issue -- whatever is slowing me down over time -- I don't believe is this leak. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145045 Bug ID: 145045 Summary: weird default location for saving images Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.2.1.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: shaforost...@gmail.com 1. Create new writer document 2. drag-n-drop an image from Finder (macOS) or Dolphin (GNU/Linux) 3. Right-click on the image and in the context menu select "Save..." Expected result: suggested location for image save is ~/Documents (macOS) or ~/Pictures (GNU/Linux) folder. Actual result: ~/.config/libreoffice/4/user/gallery/ on GNU/Linux is suggested. .config folder is meant for configurations, not as an export/save location. On macOS ~/Library/Application Support/LibreOffice/4/user/gallery is suggested. Files saved there cannot be found in Finder search, as this folder is filtered out as a hidden/system one. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
