[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 136123] No way for Glow and Soft Edge settings in drawing styles and in any dialogs
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136123 --- Comment #4 from Heiko Tietze --- The new effects are extensions to the file format and MSO Word, for example, cannot show glowing edges. Do we attach those at styles? And the effects are not limited to Draw/Impress where we do have a drawing style but also available in Writer. Do we allow the border around paragraphs to glow? If yes, I suggest to have transparency, shadow, glow, and soft edge under one "Area Effects" tab. Challenging task. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 145710] New: LibreOffice apps become blurry when moved to a different DPI monitor on Windows
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145710 Bug ID: 145710 Summary: LibreOffice apps become blurry when moved to a different DPI monitor on Windows Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.2.2.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: UI Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: joel@live.com Description: LibreOffice is not properly handling the DPI change when being moved between HiDPI and LowDPI monitors. It always looks good on my primary display (as set in Windows), but on my secondary it looks fuzzy or pixelated. Changing my primary monitor and restarting LibreOffice results in it looking good on whichever one is primary and bad on the other. Changing the Windows compatibility settings on LibreOffice to override scaling behavior to "application" results in LibreOffice always looking sharp, but not scaling to the correct DPI. I see this problem with versions 7.1.7, 7.2.2, and 7.3.0.0 alpha 1. Steps to Reproduce: 1. On a computer with dual monitors, set one to 100% scaling and the other to 125% scaling. 2. Open any LibreOffice program, such as Calc. 3. Move the program to the secondary monitor. Actual Results: Every single part of the UI is blurry, including all text, icons (svg), menus, and dialogs. The only part that's not blurry is the title bar drawn by Windows itself. Expected Results: I expect the program adjust its scaling when moved to a different DPI monitor to keep everything sharp. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: Version: 7.2.2.2 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 02b2acce88a210515b4a5bb2e46cbfb63fe97d56 CPU threads: 16; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 22000; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: CL -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

It will remain that way for about 5-7 minutes before apparently timing out (my observation). After that, it will run normally until the same thing happens when navigating the "File" menu option again at any time. The file is not stored on a remote server. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139612 --- Comment #12 from Luboš Luňák --- So I actually ended up having a look at this, and this is indeed a bug. I don't find a good rationale for that commit. It matters only when matching whole cells is off, but the default is on, and has been for ages. MS Office defaults to on as well. Whoever wants good VLOOKUP speed just needs not to shoot himself in the foot by disabling the option. So as far as I can judge interoperability, common sense and ODF spec all say the commit doesn't make sense. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145594 --- Comment #2 from Deep17 --- Below are the steps to reproduce the issue what I have identified in the master build. 1. I can see the defect as expected Additional steps mentioned below shows a different behavior. 5. place another number after the footnote 6) clicking on the third cell does not change the result as expected. 7) change the number in the 2nd cell (cell without the footnote) and click on the 3rd cell, which shows the result as expected. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 145702] Bad cint() behaviour for languages using comma as separator before the decimal point
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145702 Mike Kaganski changed: What|Removed |Added Ever confirmed|0 |1 Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW --- Comment #2 from Mike Kaganski --- I can't repro *exactly* using Russian set as program locale: both > MsgBox CInt("123.4") and > MsgBox CInt("123,4") result in "123" shown in the dialog. However, this is still a bug. (In reply to Fritz R. Paul from comment #0) > But in the example above, I would expect to either accept the point like a > comma, or at least just ignore the point and the digit after it. The expectation in the description is wrong: what should happen is error, where the input string can't be converted to a number. For comparison, in VBA one of the two calls above gives Run-time error "13": Type mismatch. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 145702] New: Bad cint() behaviour for languages using comma as separator before the decimal point
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145702 Bug ID: 145702 Summary: Bad cint() behaviour for languages using comma as separator before the decimal point Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.2.2.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: BASIC Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: fritz.p...@wingcon.com Description: The problem occurs when the cint (string to integer) function is used in a macro on strings in which the system language (e.g. German) expects the decimal place after a comma, but in the cell we have an (English) number with a point. A system-compatible number (e.g. 530,3) is interpreted correctly (cint then returns 530), while a point (like a thousand point inserted for readability) is simply ignored. But the result for 530.3 is 5303! There can be an ambiguity in cases with three digits after the point. But in the example above, I would expect to either accept the point like a comma, or at least just ignore the point and the digit after it. Steps to Reproduce: 1. In a system, where the comma is used in front of the decimal place, write an English number with a single decimal digit behind the point into a cell. 2. Call a macro on this cell, reading its string and calling the cint function to get the corresponding integer for this string. 3.Check the result Actual Results: The result using 530.3 is 5303. Expected Results: The expected result would be 530 Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: None -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
