[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81430] libreoffice-mysql-connector cannot create/edit tables without primary key
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81430 --- Comment #8 from Robert Großkopf --- I have tested this one: Opened a Base file with direct connection to a MariaDB. Created a table without primary key. A message appears (something like: Should a primary key be created. You won't be able to input data …) I won't create the table with the primary key, so it will be created without a primary key. I could insert rows in the table by Tools → SQL, but I can't insert rows by the GUI in table view. Changing the table after it has been created: Works here without any problems. Only creating a primary key after creating a table won't work in the GUI. Note: The original post is made for LO 4.3. The direct connection for MySQL/MariaDB has been included into LO since LO 6.2. So the behavior will be different to the original post now. I also couldn't input values in this table through GUI when connecting to MariaDB through JDBC with org.mariadb.jdbc.Driver. All tested with LO 7.3.0.1 on OpenSUSE 15.3 64bit rpm Linux -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129760 --- Comment #15 from QA Administrators --- Dear sdc.blanco, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 146630] New: Error for using a Mathematical function overrides OR logic

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 146386] Drop support for FTP
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146386 --- Comment #7 from Damian Hofmann --- Asking as a user (from a user perspective): What exactly is the problem, if LO supports embedding FTP **links** in documents? As far as I can tell, clicking on such a link will just open an external FTP program, and that only, if one is actually installed on the users computer. AFAIK, web browsers have only removed the ability to open/view FTP links **directly in the browser**. FTP links (that open in an external application) are still supported. I'd agree, that LO probably doesn't need the ability to connect to FTP servers itself (if such ability actually exists in LO). But I'd also like to ask: Is it's really the responsibility/job of a word processor to prevent users from embedding links of certain types into their documents? It feels like an artificial limitation. A bit patronizing even. IMHO users should be allowed to embed any type of link they choose. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

I have a multi page document and I know the word "need" is in there. I want to find the instance so I can amend it to "needed". I bring up the Find bar with CTRL-F and type in the word but it is not found. It changed the colour to red to indicate the word is not in the document. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 146623] New: Enhance Function Wizard Strucutre Tab for Better Formula Debugging
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146623 Bug ID: 146623 Summary: Enhance Function Wizard Strucutre Tab for Better Formula Debugging Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.2.4.1 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: damian.hofm...@gmx.ch Description: The Function Wizard Structure Tab currently only shows the immediate structure of the formula of the currently selected cell. There is no way to "step into" / "drill down" intermediate results that are referenced from other cells or named formulas. This makes debugging complex formulas quite cumbersome. Especially if named formula are used, LO does not seem to provide any debugging tools: * "Trace precedents" and "Trace dependends" are fairly useless at detecting errors in named formulas * No tool to perform a step-by-step evaluation, like MS Excels "Evaluate Formula" tool (enhancement request #77684 was closed with "Won't Fix") * Structure tab in "Function Wizard" doesn't show the result of the evaluated named formula * Structure tab in "Function Wizard" doesn't allow to "drill down" into a formula Please either extend the "Function Wizard" to allow "drill down" into a formula, incl. display of evaluated results for named formulas. Or alternatively, reopen #77684 and provide a proper "Evaluate Formula" feature, like MS Excel has, with "Step into" and "Step out" functionality. Steps to Reproduce: 1. In the "Name Manager" create multiple named formula expression 2. Some of the formula expression should refer to other named formula expressions 3. Use a formula expression in a cell 4. Open the "Function Wizard" for that cell and switch to the "Structure" tab Actual Results: 1. Only the immediate formula of the cell is shown, no "drill down" possible 2. Referenced named formulas are only listed by name, but the evaluated value isn't displayed Consequence: Debugging/tracing complex formulas that use named formulas is basically impossible. Debugging/tracing formulas that reference other cells with formulas is possible with other tools like "Trace precedents", but is cumbersome (see attached screenshot) Expected Results: Structure tab always shows the evaluation results of all parts of the formula and provides a "drill down" (or "step into") feature, so that results and errors can be traced back to their origin. For the provided example, I'd expect to see a structure like this - = #DIV/0! * = #DIV/0! B1 = 42 named_formula = #DIV/0! (expandable for drill-down) - = #DIV/0! + = #DIV/0! B1 = 42 nested_named_formula = #DIV/0! (expandable for drill-down) * = #DIV/0! B1 = 42 named_formula_with_error = #DIV/0! (expandable for drill-down) / = #DIV/0! 42 0 another_nested_formula = 84 (expandable for drill-down) + = 84 B1 = 42 42 B4 = 42 (expandable for drill-down) / = 42 B1 = 42 B2 = 1 Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.2.4.1 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 27d75539669ac387bb498e35313b970b7fe9c4f9 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19042; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-CH (de_CH); UI: en-US Calc: threaded -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56545 --- Comment #12 from Luke --- Repo in Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha1+ (x86) I almost marked this bug as works for me because subconsciously, I used a double click in step 8). A single click selects the textbox, a second click over a blank area puts you in rotate mode. This is how it should work, so you can move or rotate the textbox. A workaround is to double click over the space where the bullet was. Relaxing this a bit to work over a new line character is a good idea. But the rest of the line should behave as it does now. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146092 --- Comment #10 from Carl Pettit --- I disagree with Luke in C8. Enhancing frames to allow rotation should be the way to go. It yields a far better user experience and yields greater perceived functionality. Look at it this way: adding fields to textboxes does just that. However, adding rotation to frames yields a textbox replacement that now has hoops of functionality otherwise lacking in textboxes. I've yet to be convinced as to why the two elements exist. As I see it, adding rotation to frames is the answer. When it comes to compatibility, converting to ODF: convert inbound textboxes and frames to frames and on converting from ODF (where rotation is unavailable in the destination) again convert to frames or textboxes according to whether fields are incliluded in the frame or not. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139606] On Writer's standard TB and Insert menu: replace current "Text Box" a draw shape (.uno:DrawText) with the interactive frame with column (.uno:InsertFrameInteract) contr
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139606 --- Comment #19 from Luke --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #18) > frames are easier to handle (they don't disappear when > left empty .. and they start with margin and border by default. None of those issues should be showstoppers nor insurmountable. For example, an easy hack solution for the first would be to add highlighted dummy text. As soon as you start typing, the text would be over written. If left empty, the textbox would remain with the dummy text. The margin and border issue could be fixed by styles. Textbox allow so much more customization and options that frames, we really need a textbox style and choice of type of textbox style on insert time. This is a good project for the UX team. I suggest you survey our competitor as they have tacked this issue nicely. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
