[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 146525] An option to disable "The template, on which this document is based, has been modified"

(In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #2)
> Is this possible, Mike?

Yes, it would be possible - either using some database in user profile, with a
map that pairs filenames to dates (and then it would be profile-specific, and
would still ask on a different profile/system); or using the file itself,
adding custom data with date of rejected update notification (and then it would
only work after saving the file).

However, I feel that your proposal is completely unrelated to OP's, who doesn't
intend to mean "No I do not want this this time; do not ask until next time" -
but instead, would want to answer "Yes I want it this time, and in the future,
without asking", which IMO is absolutely wrong even as an expert option (it
means modifying documents on opening, i.e. converting file open operation into
file edit operation without notice). The only way to implement OP's proposal
IMO is to use some kind of auto-triggered user macro.

With the code pointer in comment 15 I can easily change the color of the motion
path lines and add an option to Tools > Options > Application Colors.

But simply making it to blue, or any other color, wont solve the problem since
different slides require individual colors.

Ideally we can modify the color/line style per document/slide/line but this
requires to save it with the document. Meaning the specification needs to cover
the information for cross-plattform/application behavior or some extra value
only used in LibreOffice not backward compatible.

Apologies I see this was for "kb input" but my suggestion still stands for and
editbox of sorts to override locale - at this point this is a dealbreaker for
librecalc being used at all. Can't go importing CSV's and doing search and
replaces for "." to "," for every file I open.

Basically if one unchecks "Same as locale setting" then it should allow the
user to enter what the separator should be, why have a checkbox I don't
understand it's functionality when disabling it - this in effect does nothing
then.

This is a follow-up of ed5450f2a5ed8e72b48b4d976217746cea04a5c9 where the
check for the HasView has been removed. Turns out that there are
conditions
when this really can happen, leading to crashes in the LOK searching.

Unfortunately I did not manage to find a reliable reproducer to create a
unit test :-( - so I suspect this commit might be more a workaround than a
root cause fix. Would be great to find out the exact conditions leading to
the situation when the EditEngine does not contain the EditView, and
evaluate
this fix against that - but that's hard without a reliable reproducer.

Then perhaps LibreCalc can have an "editable" decimal separator key. It's
unclear why the options have a checkbox for "Same as locale setting" when it
actually uses the "global" locale setting. Please see screenshot. In my case
the "English South Africa uses ",". I need it to be a ".". Yet this option in
its current form just allows me to make a comma - a comma. Seems illogical.

Dear Matthew Francis,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

2022-01-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146869

Bug ID: 146869
Summary: LibreOffice connects to the print server (CUPS) when
opening a document with PrinterName config-item
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.3.0.2 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: vincent-d...@vinc17.net

Created attachment 177663
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=177663=edit
testcase

When I open some document such as the one attached, LibreOffice tries to
connect to the print server, while I don't intend to print the document. This
can yield a timeout of 20 - 30 seconds if the print server isn't available or
request a password. There are also potential privacy/security issues.

This issue seems to come from

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 146868] New: EDITING, FORMATTING: Setting row height of all cells to >=59pt prevents creation of new shapes

2022-01-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146868

Bug ID: 146868
Summary: EDITING, FORMATTING: Setting row height of all cells
to >=59pt prevents creation of new shapes
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.2.5.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: danfarley1...@gmail.com

Steps to reproduce:

In a new LibreOffice Spreadsheet document

Optional - Draw some shapes on a new spreadsheet:
a. Navigate to Insert -> Shape -> (Pick any shape...)
b. Draw any amount of shapes in the sheet

1. Select all cells (i.e. control+a)
2. Navigate to Format -> Rows -> Height
3. Change height to 59pt or more
4. Navigate to Insert -> Shapes -> (Pick any shape...)
5. Try to draw any shape on the sheet
6. If there are already shapes on the sheet, try moving the shapes around

Expected Behavior:

For #5 above, new shapes should appear at the location dragged on the
spreadsheet
For #6 above, the shapes should be moved to the location the cursor dragged the
shape to

Actual Behavior:

For #5 above, no shape is displayed in the spreadsheet. If a regular line is
drawn (Insert->Shape->Line->Line), only a 45 degree angle line that goes from
the top left corner to the midpoint of cell A1 is drawn.

For #6 above, any shapes on the spreadsheet will be relocated to the very top
of the spreadsheet, but at the same horizontal position as the mouse

A note for #6, if the shape is right clicked and you go to Position and Size,
the y coordinate appears to be locked at a negative value.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 146867] New: When adding a text box to eventually create a fillable pdf, the font specified in control properties -- font are not properly exported

are not properly exported
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.2.5.2 release

OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jeffpric...@pm.me

Description:
I am trying to create a fillable pdf. I can create a Writer document. From form
controls, I can add a text box (or boxes). In the text box control properties,
I can specify font, size, alignment, etc. I want the font in the fillable pdf
to match the font in the document.

When I export the document as a fillable pdf, the pdf is created and looks
great. It is fillable. All font properties (for example, italics and size) are
properly exported, but NOT the font itself. So it fills in Arial or something
similar. (I don't want to use Arial.)

I am pretty sure this has worked before, as I have access to a form I created
that does work, but I don't have access to the Writer document that I used to
create that form.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.As above
2.
3.

Actual Results:
As above

Expected Results:
As above

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

And LibreOffice 6.4.7.2 doesn't have the above issue and the full-stop issue.

However, if I change the grid color to black (so that I can actually see the

(This should probably be marked as NOTABUG.)

You have an error in your Regular Expressions.

The correct regex for "alphabetic" characters is:

- [:alpha:]

Notice TWO COLONS.

Yours was accidentally using a SEMICOLON at the end.

For a full list of what can be used in LibreOffice 7.2 help page:

"List of Regular Expressions"
https://help.libreoffice.org/latest/en-US/text/shared/01/0211.html

- - -

Note: What your original regular expression was looking for:

- [:alpha;]

"Hey, look for these letters:

- a colon
- OR 'a'
- OR 'l'
- OR 'p'
- OR 'h'
- OR semicolon"

That's why you were getting all these weird, "random", combinations appearing.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142990] Groupedbar Compact UI : "insert" group is missing calculated fields

2022-01-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142990

Could we have a sub menu entry that is identical to the "field" sub menu of the
standard "insert" menu ?
In order to easily maintain such a sub menu entry, would it be possible to use
a kind of template which uses the same initialisation code than the standard
menu ? We would ensure that the 2 sub menus are the same.

Just a quick update. This seems to be related to the document I made. I tried
creating another one with just my spreadsheets (same ones created in Calc) and
it worked as expected.

I guess this is resolved.
