[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 148242] Confusing range handle when editing formula
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148242 --- Comment #1 from fml2 --- I was confused by the Calc behaviour. This is probably not a bug, but I'd like to discuss ways to reduce confusion. How to reproduce 1. Create a new Cal table 2. Fill cells B1, B2 and B3 with the value 1 3. Into the cell B4, enter the formula SUM(B1:B3) 4. Scroll the table down so that the first visible row is 2. 5. Go to the cell B4 and start to edit it, e.g. by pressing F2. I now see a ractangle around the area in the formula. The rectangle only surrounds cells up to B2 (since B1 is not visible). It also has "handles" at the corners. The presence of the handles creates the impressions that the rectangle sorrounds *the whole* formula range. This has confused me because I was not sure what happens if I just hit the Enter key (without having edited the formula). Will the old range be kept? Or will it be set to B2:B3, i.e. the one surrounded by the "complete" rectangle? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 148241] New: LO Writer has issues editing index entries in tables
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148241 Bug ID: 148241 Summary: LO Writer has issues editing index entries in tables Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.2.5.2 release Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: erickmgrif...@gmail.com Created attachment 179175 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=179175=edit Image showing field highlight outside table for entry Problem: I have created a subdocument using writer that contains tables and have indexed certain names while inside those tables. The problem occurs when I attempt to edit those indexed entries. The editor becomes confused and highlights fields outside the table. I would have assumed that if I could index entries inside a table, then it is supported and by extension I would be able to edit them. After editing a few entries the application may become so confused that it will hang and eventually crash. My current workaround is to only focus on the editor and when the appropriate entry comes up, ignore the hightlight and delete or change the entry using the edit window only. I have to get out of edit mode every one or two entries and save, due to the potential for the application to crash. I have a small example odt file for recreate. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126904] In LO Calc: Right arrow causes a large unexpected column jump in protected sheet.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126904 --- Comment #40 from Daniel Baran --- The claim in Comment 39 is astonishing. The status of this bug has now been altered (TWO YEARS) after it seems to have been fixed. I have reasonably challenged the explanation given for that change, and provided a simple means for testing it's veracity. It is now claimed (a MERE 21 DAYS later) that it's "old and no longer supported, so its status is irrelevant". If that is true now, it would have been true 21 days ago also. So what is the reasoning for this change? This exercise in bug tracking should be, and mostly is, about process. Reckless revision of a resolved status is a corruption of the process. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118017 dhina changed: What|Removed |Added See Also||https://bugs.documentfounda ||tion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14 ||8232 --- Comment #14 from dhina --- This is more than about dark mode 'enhancement', LibreOffice should either find a way to dismiss macOS dark mode entirely or support it, but not half way between. Indeed, if the macOS settings are in dark mode, then: - the LO default background color is black, but not in Slide Show mode. Then all the default color text are illegible. - the LO default text color is black, but not when the cursor is clicked in the text box, which makes the reading very difficult when editing slides. Then, it is not possible to use Presentation anymore for these reasons. It is a quite major issue. The only solution to keep using LO is to change the entire macOS setting to 'light mode', which is a lot to ask for a single application. So I think someone with the appropriate admin rights should change the "importance" of this bug from "enhancement" to "major". Thanks, Steps to Reproduce: 1. MacOS preference > General > Appearance > Dark 2. Open a new presentation in LibreOffice 3. Write something in the slide title 3bis. Slide Show > Start from first slide Actual Results: 3. It change the white text color to dark grey which is very difficult to read 3bis. in presentation mode, the dark background is white, so all your white text are not readible. Expected Results: 3. It should keep a light color to be readible in dark mode 3bis. The background should be black -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Steps to reproduce: 1) open attached sample document "sample_form.odt" 2) make sure the "Form Design" toolbar is enabled ("View" -> "Toolbar" -> "Form Design") 3) try to enable design mode using the "Design Mode" item in the Form Design toolbar at the bottom 4) try to edit the text at the top, e.g. by typing something after the first sentence. Result: A dialog shows up: "Write protected content cannot be changed. No modifications will be accepted." Expected result: Editing should be possible after switching to design mode. Note: This still worked when using the "Design Mode on/Off" button in at least LibreOffice 6.1 Version: 7.4.0.0.alpha0+ / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 2816f498505bab01bc0f17ef0962ece663c607c9 CPU threads: 12; OS: Linux 5.16; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+xcb) Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 148234] New: symbol bar in Calc while editing
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148234 Bug ID: 148234 Summary: symbol bar in Calc while editing Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.3.1.3 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: po...@rocketmail.com Description: I use the UI Groupedbar. Until two days ago it worked well. Now when editing most of the symbols disappear. Just hitting F2 is enough to "loose" the symbols. When I minimize and maximize Calc again, all symbols are back. Happens all the time - even with different ods files. Not video driver related (had a recent update of GeForce driver). Neither a problem with the configuration (moved all files from the Users folder to a different spot). Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a file in Calc 2. Hit the F2 key 3. Actual Results: Happens all the time. Expected Results: Most symbols in the bar disappear Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: Version: 7.3.1.3 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: a69ca51ded25f3eefd52d7bf9a5fad8c90b87951 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: de-DE Calc: CL -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 148233] New: Editing - Form - Listbox: Direct SQL-code with breaks will be destroyed if edited in text mode
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148233 Bug ID: 148233 Summary: Editing - Form - Listbox: Direct SQL-code with breaks will be destroyed if edited in text mode Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.3.1.3 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Base Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: rob...@familiegrosskopf.de Created attachment 179163 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=179163=edit Testdatabase - open the form and have a look at the code for data in listbox. Open the attached database. Open the form for editing, not for input data. Right click on the listbox and open the control properties. Change to folder "data". List content has been created as direct SQL in the query editor. It contains some breaks. Press the "Down" arrow to edit the content in text mode. Add a space after the first comma. Press OK. Now the code has been changed. Every return has been set as a semicolon. This is the normal behavior of such a textbox, but it destroys the code of the query. Open the query editor by the three buttons and you will see only the first row up to the break. Other content has been lost. Solution: Disable the text editor if list content is SQL [Native]. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 92657] Questionable Default for Bullet Sizing
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92657 Frank changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |WORKSFORME --- Comment #37 from Frank --- I only tried this just now on 7.3.1.3 with a few fonts and only with Latin script, but it seems to behave properly now. I quit using bullets with LO about five years ago since they were unpredictable (though, as I said in the original discussions, I suspect part of the issue is related to malformed fonts and what they report to apps), so maybe I'll give them a try when the opportunity arises. So it might as well be closed if no one has looked at it or complained about it in almost six years. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
