I can't seem to reproduce with 7.3 or 7.4.

Bug 148115 about kf5 tooltips was recently fixed, but the fix is only in
unreleased versions for now. Maybe you could test it:

Tested the “Old Hungarian template document with embedded Noto Old Hungarian
font”[1] with characters in the parentheses, i.e. (…), does LibreOffice
unfortunately does not transliterate the characters in the parentheses. Tested
the following:

```
(g-gy)
(gy-gy)
```

1. Can characters in the parentheses please be transliterated?
2. Does a unit test need to be added for text in parentheses?
3. Should a unit test with the following string be added:
```
Székely írás 2020-ban? Egyszerű, nagyszerű!
Meggyőző (g-gy), meggyízű (gy-gy).
Vége
```

What do you think?

For me, it sets the cursor to the end of the first line (not end of paragraph).
I also tested with 7.2 to confirm there was no change in behaviour.

Where does the cursor land for you?

I confirm this variance.

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 3.5.0 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: preBibisect, regression
  Severity: minor

Screenshot

- Open a spreadsheet with autofilter, eg. attachment 179568 from bug 148596,
- Click on the cell with the autofilter (eg. B2 in the sample),
- Press Esc to close the filter.

-> Cell show a grey area.

This is a regression since 7.3.0:
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=5d331f3c92623fe6cba089bf2c49e8b518d225dd

"tdf#126356 partial Revert "sc tiled editing: Mapping has to be"

However, since the commit is a revert of a much older commit, one can go back
to previous versions, and but occurs in those as well (ie. 4.4 and before).
It seems to have started between 3.4.0.1 and 3.5.0.3, and is already in oldest
of bibisect-43all.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107223

--- Comment #5 from QA Administrators  ---
Dear Mark Hung,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,

This is actually not a regression, just due to GTK the popup wasn't shown for a
while until Caolán fixed it in bug 133953.
Otherwise, with eg. gen VCL plugin, the bug can be reproduced even in 3.3.

2022-04-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148659

Bug ID: 148659
   Summary: Wrong numbering of slides when slides are hidden
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: pierre.choffar...@free.fr

Created attachment 179652
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=179652&action=edit
Test file

See attached as an example.

If you have some hidden slides, the numbering is wrong.

On the example, on slide is hidden.

the last slide is numbered as 5/4. This is confusing

And when playing slides, we jump from slide 2/4 to 4/4 (and it is not the last
one)

Expected behaviour : The last slide should be numbered 4/4 and we shoul jump
from 2/4 to 3/4.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 148644] Bug within paragraph constraints (keep with next / do not split paragraph)

2022-04-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148644

--- Comment #4 from Gaëtan Delannay  ---
Hello, thanks for your quick answer.
What I expect from "Keep with next" here is that the *end* of the highlighted
paragraph (name it P) should be on the same column or page as the next one (in
the example, the first bullet cannot directly be on top of a page or a column).
But P could start on the previous column (this would be nice, a blank zone
would be avoided): indeed, it is splittable (checkbox "Do not split paragraph"
is unchecked); orphan and widow rules can be enforced as well.
Does it make sense to you? Many thanks again.

Great, thanks for the heads up on the mode option. It solves my immediate
problem. Alas 7.3.2.2 is unstable for me so back to my old version I go.

Ok well export to DOC/DOCX and opening with MSO does indeed split the
highlighted text.. so there surely something wrong (aside from bug 148657)

Hello!

I have reproduced the wrong behavior on latest major releases: 3.6.7.2,
4.4.7.2, 5.4.7.2, 6.4.7.2. 7.0.4.2 also has this bug.

I used this environment:
* Docker base image: python:3.9.10-slim-bullseye
* I didn`t install default-jre, libreoffice-java-common packages despite of
error message "javaldx: Could not find a Java Runtime Environment!"
* Command: libreoffice --headless --convert-to pdf

Is there any suggestions of how to workaround this?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 148655] New: Replace "Octagon Bevel" and "Diamond Bevel" with similar shapes suitable for export to OOXML

Illustration of the problem

This is a follow up to bug 148501.
The shapes "Octagon Bevel" and "Diamond Bevel" use shadings which cannot be
expressed in OOXML and which are darker than those originally introduced in
OOo2.1. The attachment here has a copy of the screenshots of attachment 179647.

My request is to use similar shapes, which are nearer to the original intended
shading and are better suitable for export to OOXML.

The attachment has two proposals:
(My favorite) Use the darken/lighten commands of the enhanced-path. They are
available in API. They are not available in ODF 1.3 and need to be written in
drawooo namespace. Their export as static shape (no handles) works already
including shading. Problem is that the shading does not work together with
bitmap-filling. That is a problem in LO, PowerPoint shows the shading in those
cases.

The other way would be to use a color shade encoding, which gives the desired
shading but is restricted to values available in OOXML. That renders the
shading for bitmap filling in LO. This color shade encoding does not belong to
ODF, but is specific to LO and AOO, MS Office does not know it. The export to
OOXML would need to convert it to the darken/lighten attribute of OOXML. But
that does not exists yet.

Because the color encoding of OOo2.1 allows up to 14 values for shading, but
OOXML has only 4 values, we would need to restrict the shades. Therefore there
are two suggestions for the "Octagon Bevel", which has original 5 shades in the
outer segments.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 148501] Rendering of shape 'Octagon Bevel' is faulty

2022-04-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon

--- Comment #2 from Regina Henschel  ---
Created attachment 179647
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=179647&action=edit
How Bevel shapes looked in various versions

The attached file has in the first row the shapes. Left side is the shape
"Square Bevel" (= quad-bevel = mso_sptBevel). On the right side are the shapes
"Octagon Bevel" (= col-60da8460) and "Diamond Bevel" (= col-502ad400). The next
rows contain screenshots, how these shapes look in various versions.

All three use for shading nColorData. "Square Bevel" gets it from assignment,
"Octagon Bevel" and "Diamond Bevel" gets it from the type.

The shape "Octagon Bevel" has the color encoding 60da8460. The starting number
6 gives the number of color changes. The changes are then 0=original color 0%,
d=-30%, a=-60%, 8=-80%, 4=40%, 6=60%, 0 unused. A negative value means darken,
a positive value lighten.
The segments of the shape are drawn in the order
center (I), top-right and bottom-left (II), right and bottom (III),
bottom-right (IV), left and top (V), left-top (VI).

Between OOo 2.1 (about June 2006) and OOo2.4.3 (about August 2007) the way
changed how the geometry of the shape is transformed to PolyPolygons. The
changes are likely in fix for AOO bug #i76201 (Armin). Now a segment, which has
stroke and fill are rendered by two PolyPolygons, one for the stroke and one
for the fill.
The center segment of shape "Octagon Bevel" has no stroke, but the others have
stroke and fill. The last color change is repeated, if there are more
PolyPolygons than color changes. So you get:

Color change | OOo2.1 | new way
0% | (I)   | (I)
-30%   | (II)  | (II) stroke
-60%   | (III) | (II) fill
-80%   | (IV)  | (III) stroke
40%| (V)   | (III) fill
60%| (VI)  | (IV) stroke
60%|   | (IV) fill
60%|   | (V) stroke
60%|   | (V) fill
60%|   | (VI) stroke
60%|   | (VI) fill

My solution is to skip those PolyPolygons which are not filled.

After applying my solution the shadings are still not the same as in OOo2.1.
The reason is, that the way, how the color adaption is calculated was changed,
likely in fix for AOO bug #i102797 (Thorsten). Those changes were made to get
rendering of shapes with darken/lighten parts nearer to rendering in
PowerPoint. Because that is necessary for shapes of type "mso-", I think it
should not be changed.

My suggestion is to live with the too dark colors in shape type "col-60da8460"
and "col-502ad400", but in our preset group "Symbol Shapes" and in Gallery
themes "private://gallery/hidden/imgppt" and "Shapes" replace the shapes
"Octagon Bevel" and "Diamond Bevel" with shapes that uses only shades
compatible with OOXML. I'll write a new bug for that.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 148653] New: Linux + LibreOffice Writer + render problem in View -> Web : horizontal grey bars

2022-04-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148653

Bug ID: 148653
   Summary: Linux + LibreOffice Writer + render problem in View ->
Web : horizontal grey bars
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.3.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: vmel...@yahoo.com

Description:
I am running Kubuntu 20.04 + LibreOffice 7.3.3.1 that I installed myself on
Kubuntu.
It is not yet released however, previous versions all have this same bug.

I included my ODT file + screenshots of random horizontal grey bars that appear
and hide text.

This seems to happen mostly with large ODT files.
I only have text and images in my ODT files. There are no tables or charts or
anything fancy.

This problem happens with multiple versions of LibreOffice, Kubuntu 18.04,
20.04, OpenSuse Tumbleweed. I once tried on Win 7 with some older version of
LibreOffice.
I think it is a long standing bug.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Dolphin.
2. Find your ODT file
3. Double click the ODT file
4. Use Page Down slowly until you encounter your first grey bar.
5. Keep going down and see if there are other grey bars.
6. Or open your file from LibreOffice Writer File -> Open

Actual Results:
Random horizontal grey bars that appear and hide text.
This happens when the ODT was saved when View -> Web

Expected Results:
There should not be horizontal grey bars.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No
