The Microsoft one feels much nicer to use, but its shortcuts are not properly handled by LibreOffice Impress. According to the `xev` command, as tested under Xorg with Fedora 35, when pressing the previous/next buttons on a Microsoft presenter mouse 8000, it emits: ``` KeyPress event, serial 40, synthetic NO, window 0x521, root 0x31f, subw 0x0, time 527729954, (68,276), root:(662,604), state 0x10, keycode 166 (keysym 0x1008ff26, XF86Back), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 0 bytes: XmbLookupString gives 0 bytes: XFilterEvent returns: False KeyPress event, serial 37, synthetic NO, window 0x521, root 0x31f, subw 0x0, time 527722534, (68,276), root:(662,604), state 0x10, keycode 167 (keysym 0x1008ff27, XF86Forward), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 0 bytes: XmbLookupString gives 0 bytes: XFilterEvent returns: False ``` ...but LibreOffice Impress doesn't understand those shortcuts, and thus doesn't go from one slide to another in presenter mode. In comparison, the Targus PAUM30 clicker / presenter remote, whose button presses LibreOffice Impress understands, emits these: ``` KeyRelease event, serial 38, synthetic NO, window 0x521, root 0x31f, subw 0x522, time 528029747, (35,52), root:(629,380), state 0x10, keycode 117 (keysym 0xff56, Next), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 0 bytes: XFilterEvent returns: False KeyPress event, serial 38, synthetic NO, window 0x521, root 0x31f, subw 0x522, time 528031339, (35,52), root:(629,380), state 0x10, keycode 112 (keysym 0xff55, Prior), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 0 bytes: XmbLookupString gives 0 bytes: XFilterEvent returns: False ``` So my request is for LibreOffice to support the "XF86Forward" and "XF86Back" shortcuts just as well as the "Next" and "Prior" shortcuts to move between slide in presentation mode (or even in editing mode, possibly). P.s.: * Both devices also have play/pause / screen switching shortcuts, but I was not able to clearly determine what they are using xev * I used the xev command to test simply because I don't know what the Wayland equivalent would be...? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 148985] Impress crash on animation search

Unlike Linux, Windows does only search for a single letter you just pressed. So if you type "bug" it jumps to the first result for 'b', then jumps to the first result of 'u' and then the first result of 'g'. If there is no entry starting with said number, it does not do anything. On Linux the letters are kept. So it searches for 'b' then 'bu' and then 'bug'. If there is no entry for the searched term Impress crashes. Since I don't have Adobe Acrobat I can' test. I > hope, somebody else can help. Thanks Dieter for your answer. You can use free versions of alternative programs like Master PDF Editor (I will upload two additional screenshots, made with my registered version on Linux). Also, with the Firefox inspector you can view the exportvalue="Yes" in the checkboxes (although not with radio buttons, I don't know why). Please, tell me if I can help. Would have been more easy to understand and save a lot of of our time, if original bug report contains an easy sample document and some steps to reproduce: Steps to reproduce: 1. Open attachment 179253 => direction of columns is from left to right 2. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 147669] Calc - MATCH gives wrong result with an inline array
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=147669 Mike Kaganski changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW Ever confirmed|0 |1 CC||er...@redhat.com --- Comment #2 from Mike Kaganski --- Note also, that it works with =MATCH("2";{"2"|"3"};0) => it gives the expected 1. MATCH with MatchType = 0 is defined in ODFF 1.3 [1] differently compared to MatchType = 1 and MatchType = -1; for the two latter, there's explicit "If Search is of type Text and the value found is of type Number, the #N/A Error is returned", while for the former, no such clause exists, implying that the return value of 1 is really expected here. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 148982] New: Multiple Operations fail to work with long sequences of dependent cells
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148982 Bug ID: 148982 Summary: Multiple Operations fail to work with long sequences of dependent cells Product: LibreOffice Version: Inherited From OOo Hardware: All URL: https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/calc-getting-list-of-out put-values-for-a-set-of-input-values/77238/ OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: mikekagan...@hotmail.com CC: er...@redhat.com 1. In a new Calc document, put number '1' to A1. 2. Put '=A1+1' to A2. 3. Copy A2, and paste into A3:A30 4. Check that A30 shows '30' 5. Put number '2' to B1 6. Select B1:C1 7. Run Data->Multiple Operations 8. Put 'A30' to Formulas, 'A1' to 'Column input cell', and click OK. => Err:522 ("Circular reference") is shown in C1, and also in some bottommost cells in A column (A29 and A30) 9. Put cursor to C3, and hit F9 (recalculate) => more cells show Err:522 in column A (starting from A299600). 10. Delete B1:C1, and hit Ctrl+Shift+F9 (hard recalc) => Err:522 is still shown in A299600:A30. 11. Save and reload => all cells in A show expected numbers again. This is repro also in OO0 3.3.0; in current LO, it doesn't depend on OpenCL and/or multi-threaded calculations. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148981 --- Comment #5 from Jambunathan K --- There are two bugs 1. 'pi' is not rendered in contrasting colors 2. 'pi' indicator doesn't disappear when formatting marks is off edit window. 'pi'-'s behaviour should be same as 'checkmark'-'s behaviour. >From a user's point of view, (1) is similar to https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148740. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 130722] Can't use "Multiple Operations" with a DSUM function
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130722 --- Comment #4 from Mike Kaganski --- (In reply to Mike Kaganski from comment #3) > So it *looks like* an interoperability issue. It would be nice to check what > Excel does in this case. Note that trying to re-create the calculation using Excel 2016's What-If analysis (one-variable data table [1]) on the data from attachment 157933, moving F4:F5 to F10:F11, I4 to H10, clearing H11:H13, selecting G10:H13, running the Excel's "Data Table", and selecting G11 as "Column input cell", I get "Input cell reference not valid" error from Excel. Indeed, I might do it all wrong; a sample spreadsheet doing this from Excel would hopefully clarify.
