Open this connection, go to Tolls → User Administration. This dialog isn't resizable, but all buttons were shown in the dialog, if it is shown in English language. Now change, for example, GUI to German language. Button for deleting a user is only partly shown. You have to guess what will happen if you press this button, because dialog isn't resizable. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 149943] New: Pixelated PDF export and print for a rotated image

The top image exports awfully, having 14 pixels high image in the PDF. The bottom (unrotated) image exports perfectly, creating barcode with sharp strips (no blurring/antialiasing). The problem appeared in today's form since v.6.4; in vv. 6.1 - 6.3, the top image was exported much better, but there it was a bit blurry - so it had a bit worse quality than the bottom one. In 6.0, the top image was rotated incorrectly (so that the strips were not horizontal, but diagonal). In 5.0, the rotation ot the top image was lost completely. Additional observed problem: it's impossible to move the top (rotated) image closer to the top. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 112610] System crashes + slow GUI, on KDE linux + intel graphics
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112610 Herr Irrtum! changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|INSUFFICIENTDATA|--- Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED --- Comment #19 from Herr Irrtum! --- So the bug is still there in 07/2022 with LO 7.3.4.2 (sorry for reopening). And I can reproduce it. On Linux running on a Ryzen with build in Radeon GFX using the MESA Radeon driver. I think it should "work" on intel Mesa drivers too. Reproducable in KDE and in XFCE at least. - Install ocl-icd and maybe optionally libclc and opencl-mesa (package names from Arch Linux, may be different on other distros) - Create a new user (so no ~/.config/libreoffice exists or just remove ~/.config/libreoffice). - start soffice with the new user. For some seconds nothing will happen. Your may even CTRL C soffice and doing some other commands manually. Suddenly the whole computer will get a black screen, even changing to a TTY isn't possible - it's dead. You have to force a poweroff or a hard reboot. Reboot. Hope the filesystem still works after the hard poweroff. Look for GraphicsRenderTests.log underneath ~/.config/libreoffice/... it doesn't exist. The rest of the settings seem to be there. Uninstall ocl-icd Start LibreOffice now. It works. So the opencl-icd loader is killing it. Maybe LO "automatically" probes for Opencl compliance when no settings are found before writing its settings profile? As soon as the settings are there and the "OpenCl"-Checkbox is not ticked within the LO settings, LO just works. Even with opencl-icd installed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

It has a SmartArt and a screenshot of it. Notice that the circles are distorted to ellipses. It seems an underlying problem is, that the group, which represents the SmartArt, does not get a size. And therefore it is not possible to assign the correct size to the background shape, e.g in AddShape() in oox. I have put the example not into a new bug report, because I suspect, that it has the same reason. At least, if I add the size in GraphicImport(), the elements are circles as it should be. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 53864] Export ignores layer options 'printable' and 'visible'
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53864 --- Comment #24 from xordevore...@gmail.com --- Forgot to mention that the PNG export has transparency turned on, because only the tattoo, not a field of white surrounding it, is useful (otherwise the Sim's entire body would look like it's been dipped in white paint). I could cheese the situation and place the blue squares on the master page and export with transparency and then they won't render, but I've supplied a use-case scenario https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123973 with uploaded examples where I definitely DO want master items to show up when transparency is used (but they currently do not) rather than unnecessarily having to copy the same graphic from page to page to page to get around that. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

It will only allow to position a new field by SQL: ALTER TABLE "Person" ADD "Forename" VARCHAR(25) BEFORE "Surname"; Internal Firebird (which is experimental at this moment) will allow to position a field after it has been inserted: ALTER TABLE "Person" ALTER "Forename" POSITION 2; But there are also bugs while people are trying to copy and paste with the table editor. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 53864] Export ignores layer options 'printable' and 'visible'
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53864 --- Comment #23 from xordevore...@gmail.com --- Created attachment 181207 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=181207&action=edit Sample file where the output dimensions must never change I've attached something like what I've been talking about, the most extreme example I could find, which is a template that I use for making body tattoos for The Sims 4. Each page represents a different location on the body for placing a tattoo (the blue squares). I don't want those blue squares to export (I always export to PNG because that's what the modding tool wants). The blue squares are for placement only, showing me the boundaries of where I can place the tattoo. They were originally on a layer that I intended not to export, but then discovered they exported even when invisible, and as I subsequently learned, also export when the layer is set not to print. Useless. The entire page exports as a 1024x2048 PNG file, dimensions which the game is expecting in order for them image to render in the game (otherwise you get a default blue-red gradient texture with a giant question mark wrapped around the object). The suggested work-around won't suffice. I can't just select the content created within the boundaries of the blue square because then the dimensions of the export would be no greater than that blue square and won't work. The entire 1024x2048 image must be exported, even if most of the image consists of nothing. So, instead of using a layer--because layers are exporting regardless--before I build a tattoo, what I do is copy and paste the desired page with the location that I want beforehand, so that I have a copy of it for the next one, then delete the square and export the page, and so I always have a spare copy to burn for the next one. I might have dozens of tattoos in a single file. I'd much rather just have the visual cue (blue square) on the page all the time, and having them all in a layer that does not export would be perfect, then I could just turn the layer on containing the blue squares to place the content of the tattoo and turn that layer off when it comes time to export, rather than copy-delete-repeat. I tried using guides, rather than squares, but that resulted in a mess of lines that wound up being more confusing than anything else. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53864 --- Comment #22 from xordevore...@gmail.com --- (In reply to Regina Henschel from comment #21) > Another workaround is to set layer to "not visible" and "not printable" and > then do not export the entire page, but make a drag-selection from top-left > to bottom-right. The selection contains only visible objects. Then export > with option "Selection" enabled. I tried that just now, and unless I'm somehow not doing it right, won't work for me. Proportions don't remain the same when you do that. For creating and exporting textures for Sims 4 objects that I create game mods for, the export must be identical to or an exact multiple of the original texture, or they will fail to render in-game. If the page exports as 1024x2048 pixels, which is what the game expects, but I only select the objects on the page that render, which usually only encompass the bottom half of a drawing page, the resulting dimensions when exporting only that selection is smaller than what's required. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 149926] Base manages Roles
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149926 --- Comment #4 from Alex Thurgood --- (In reply to prrvchr from comment #0) > Would it not be possible to add to Base the management of the Roles of the > underlying database? > > This new graphical interface should be very similar to the existing one for > user management... and would allow a more complete management of databases. > Under which circumstances would you want the role management to appear in the UI? More particularly, which database backend would you want role management for ? Most server backends require admin specific rights to be awarded in order to change or create roles. These would not normally be accessible to a non-privileged user. How do you then decide which parts of the role management to make available to whom, and in what way ? How would you make that applicable to all of the database backends supported by LO ? Far from being a simple solution, this could turn out to be quite complicated, depending on how this might be implemented. For example, if I have DBA privileges on a mysql backend, I can do pretty much what I like to the "users" table apart from apply functions that are specific to role management, e.g. encryption of passwords, and which are not supported via the UI by the native connector driver or the corresponding JDBC driver (maybe possible via the Tools > SQL menu using DDL). By default, I can also see all of the tables of the mysql schema in the UI, and modify via the UI certain elements of those tables. It isn't entirely clear to me what you would like to see, or how you would like to see it within the UI. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 53864] Export ignores layer options 'printable' and 'visible'
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53864 --- Comment #20 from crx...@hotmail.com --- (In reply to xordevoreaux from comment #19) > I can't believe this bug has been around since 2012. Yeah, it is not the only one. And it has been around longer than 2012 (it was inherited from OpenOffice). What I do when I have to export is just delete each layer I don't want in the export. Can take a while when there are a dozen plus layers. But it works. Then exit without saving (or use reload). > Were I a decent programmer I'd tackle it myself. Me too. I would think it would be an easy change. But this issue doesn't affect many people, I suppose. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 53864] Export ignores layer options 'printable' and 'visible'
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53864 --- Comment #18 from xordevore...@gmail.com --- A layer will still export even after clearing the "Printable" option on the layer. 1. Create a new Windows LO Draw document 2. Insert a layer and select it 3. Clear the "printable" option on the layer 4. Draw something on the layer 5. Export the file On step 3, clearing both the "printable" and "visible" options still exported the layer. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116211 --- Comment #35 from Bernard Moreton --- Against Timurs comment #29, "(3) I asked you to clarify, to have all here, but that would be another issue anyway.", - the Browse button doesn't really help the user (it listes all files in the HOME directory - and though the user might want to enter a simple application name (and perhaps should be given a list of found names to choose from), past experience suggested that a full path may be desirable. - the button might be better to validate an entered application name?
