I think a new report would be nice to give a fresh start :) Thanks for testing.

I had no luck reproducing this with local master builds on either macOS or

pages with fully visible large X glyphs on page 2 and 4.

This specific bug appears to be fixed. Hurray!

However, there's a variation of it that occurs with changing the User
Interface.

While testing several of the options for laying out menus (all of which
worked), i noticed that after switching from one layout to another, the color
pickers reset to their defaults.

Should i file a new bug for that, or can it be addressed as part of this one?

Forget to mention in my original bug report above, that the issue is the same
with version 7.4.0.3 except that it effects Heading 3 or Heading 4 (cannot
recall for sure which as I only played with that version for a couple hours
until I discovered the annoying issue of the program not remembering to
maximize the window setting after closing the program and then reopening it)
instead of Title as in 7.4.1.1.

Dear h8j18k24p4s2,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 150784] New: Title Paragraph Style Invisible (both in drop-down menu and in document)

2022-09-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=150784

Bug ID: 150784
Summary: Title Paragraph Style Invisible (both in drop-down
menu and in document)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.4.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tarotf...@protonmail.com

Description:
If you L-click on the Set Paragraph Style drop-down menu, the Title style is
grayed out. Not only that, but if you try to type something or convert text to
that style, the text becomes invisible. Furthermore, if you have Toggle
Automatic Spell Checking selected and misspell the title, you will see a red
squiggly line underneath the invisible text. Likewise, if you do not capitalize
the title, you will be a blue squiggly line underneath the invisible text. If
you R-click either the red or blue squiggly line, you will get the appropriate
suggestions.

If you select More Styles from the Set Paragraph Style drop-down menu, there
appears to be no listing for the Title style in the Styles Sidebar (although
there is a blank, white space beneath the Subtitle listing, which if you hover
the cursor over that blank space a pop-up will appear that indicates Title).
The only time the Title listing appears in the Sidebar is if you have the
grayed out Title listing selected in the Set Paragraph Style drop-down menu.

Print preview shows a blank space where the Title should be (so it's invisible
to both monitor and printer).

This never used to be an issue. I do not believe this was an issue with 7.3.5,
but I may simply have not done any work utilizing Paragraph Styles, but it has
been an issue with 7.4.0.3 and 7.4.1.1.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. L-click on the Set Paragraph Style drop-down menu
2. Title style is grayed out (more details in description above)

Actual Results:
Blank, white space where Title should be inserted.

Expected Results:
Title to be printed in document instead of having to use and modify another
paragraph style.

Reproducible: Always

remembering to load the program fully maximized on each reload, I had to opt to

Description:
Good night.

I have installed the LibreOffice 7.4.3 version, as the app said I had the
possibility. I was satisfied enough with the 7.4.0.

I've installed quickly, but for my surprise, I tried to open my documents on
Writer, and the Program doesn't opens.

I really need to write and edit the documents, I have a academic activity for
tomorrow 6 p.m.

Will have to download the 7.4.0 Version again, and my download tax is slow.

Anyone with these problems?

I use Windows 10, 64 bits, and I installed the correct version, for 64 bits.

Thank u and sorry for my English, I'm Brazilian, a intermediate speaker.

Actual Results:
I tried to open my documents with the program, but the program did not open my
documents.

Expected Results:
I want to open my documents again, just this.

Description:
The `DURATION` function in Numbers takes 6 arguments and returns a time
duration.
https://support.apple.com/guide/functions/duration-ffa561e8c4/12.1/web/1.0
documentation

The Excel/LibreOffice `DURATION` function is the Macaulay duration. The
Numbers equivalent is `BONDDURATION`
(https://support.apple.com/guide/functions/bondduration-ffa5742353/12.1/web/1.0)
and Numbers automatically translates between Excel's DURATION and the native
BONDDURATION when reading and writing to Excel formats.

LibreOffice is currently retaining the original names. `BONDDURATION` in the
Numbers read codec should be translated to `DURATION` while `DURATION` should
be mapped to something else.

Steps to Reproduce:
Download and open
https://github.com/SheetJS/test_files/blob/master/duration_112/duration_112.numbers
(uses Numbers DURATION) or attachment (uses Numbers BONDDURATION)

Actual Results:
duration_112: A series of Err:502 in the "Value" column and each function is
translated to `DURATION` (preserving Numbers function name)

bondduration: The cell formula uses `bondduration`

Expected Results:
duration_112: DURATION should use something different

bondduration: BONDDURATION should be translated to DURATION

DOCX import: floating table with negative top margin has to be a fly frame

The bugdoc has a large header, then part of the table goes into the
whitespace of the header by specifying a negative vertical position.

Keep this as a floating table as normal tables can't have negative top

Sulphur changed:

   What|Removed |Added

Version|7.2.2.2 release |7.0 all versions

The bug seems to have been introduced in the 7 series of LibreOffice. It does
not occur in the 6.4 series of LibreOffice (6.4.7 tested). In the first stable
version of the 7 series (7.0.0.1) it is present.

I have also tested this in the newest daily build (dev
7.5.0.0.alpha0_2022-09-04); the bug is still present.

I could not, however, reproduce the issue in Gnome (tested in Ubuntu 22.04.1),
only in KDE (tested in Kubuntu 22.04.1, the newest dev build of KDE Neon, as
well as current stable Manjaro). Is it possible that it is an issue with KDE?
I'm not a programmer, so I'm not sure, but since the LibreOffice 6 series does
not have the bug in even the newest versions of the Plasma Desktop (5.25,
recently released), while the LibreOffice 7 series always does, some change to
LibreOffice seems to have triggered it.

With STR from comment 7 or comment 0 or both. The STR of comment 0 is bit

On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I don't reproduce this
but considering you deleted parts at random perhaps I haven't deleted the right
one.

Michael: perhaps the bt provided by Telesto is enough to help to pinpoint the
pb?

It is strange! I would appreciate if you could attach the PDF output.

The font probably does not matter, because I also don't have this font
installed. Installing it also did not help fix this problem.

Anyway, "B Lotus" font can be downloaded from here:

A Writer document with an embedded 1 bit image.

Steps to reproduce:

- create a 1 bit bw PNG image
- create a Writer document and embed the image
- export to PDF
- inspect the generated PDF

The image should be written as 1 bit BW image but LibreOffice converts it to
grayscale. This is what gets written in the PDF file:
