https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106727 --- Comment #8 from QA Administrators --- Dear Telesto, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. That's not reassuring. Still an issue in LibreOffice 7.4.0.3 on OSX 10.15.7. Am trying to make the switch from Word to LibreOffice Writer and this is absolutely maddening; I can't go more than a few minutes before I'm hitting a keyboard command (copy, cut, paste, save, etc) and suddenly I'm zoomed in to >400%. Have to stop everything to get zoomed back to the correct amount, and then I can proceed with workflow. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=150836 Bug ID: 150836 Summary: CSV save-mode is different from the one used for opening Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.3.4.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: hi-an...@yandex.ru I use CSV+formulas as a plain-text format that can be stored in git and wouldn't require typing formulas anew. Unfortunately, when using Ctrl+s to save an edited CSV file, all formulas are lost. They shouldn't be, because LO knows the exact format it used for loading the file. Repro with latest 7.4.0.3 # Steps to reproduce 1. Execute `echo "2,=A1*A1" > test.csv` 2. Open the created `test.csv` in LO Calc `localc ./test.csv` 3. A window with file load configuration will pop up: make sure a `✓ Evaluate formulas` checkbox is checked and press `Ok` 4. Press Ctrl+s to save the file. LO will only ask if you're sure about the format, press `Use Text CSV Format` 5. In terminal execute `cat test.csv` ## Expected output 2,=A1*A1 ## Actual output 2,4 # Workarounds Use `Save as` (Shift + Ctrl +s), then in popped up window make sure a "✓ Edit filter settings" is set. When through a few windows the filter settings appear, make sure a "✓ Save cell formulas instead of calculated values" is set. Fun thing: the checkbox is set by default. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124129] sheet names containing a dot and are used in conditional formatting formulas cause an non existent external link to the "documents" user folder
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124129 Sławomir Nizio changed: What|Removed |Added CC||poczta...@gazeta.pl --- Comment #7 from Sławomir Nizio --- I can confirm exactly the same behaviour with LibreOffice Calc 7.3.5.2 on Linux (Ubuntu 22.04) using Polish locale: - conditional formatting with a formula to a sheet with a dot in the name causes the message about external link to be displayed, - removal of the external link (Edit - Links to External Files) turns the formula in the cell to be a static value (and does not make the warning go away after reopening). But there is more. I noticed that the problem with the "external links" message goes away with some conditional types used. It is displayed with types used: "Formula is" and "Cell value / is equal to." It is not displayed with "Cell value / is between" with both values for example $'test.2'.$A$1 (just example values). In this case, Edit - Links to External Files is greyed out. "Is not between" also works. PS I don't know the rules of bug priorities here, but maybe the first problem (removing the formula causing the value to be turned static) can be considered data loss and bug priority should be increased just to have a little more attention and awareness of this issue? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 150811] Support flags in Search Commands: whole-word, case-sensitive, regexp
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=150811 --- Comment #6 from Eyal Rozenberg --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #3) > I dislike the idea to make a very simple but efficient interaction complex > and clunky with very rarely needed functions. The simple and efficient interaction should not be affected, and even visually this could made unintrusive. Extreme example: Look at gedit's search box. Or how CLion's editor pane search has, at the end of the search box, three buttons which are easy to ignore if you're not looking for them. > Do you have good use cases? Maybe, you be the judge. 1. I can't figure out how many spaces LO uses in its menu-to-item separation. So should I search for "Format/Foo"? "Format / Foo"? "Format / Foo"? No, I'll search for regexp "Format */ *Foo". 2. I want to search for a command which has the word Insert, but I don't just want to match the whole Insert menu. So I'll search for the regexp ".Insert". 3. I remember I saw a widget named the somethingbar. But it wasn't two words, it was in a single word. So with a regexp, I'd search for "[^ ]bar"; or with a case-sensitive search, I'd search for "bar" rather than "Bar". 4. I'm searching for a command involving a Style - but not multiple styles. With a whole-word search, I'll get only the Style results, not "Load styles from template", nor "table styles" etc. However, as I consider these examples, I'm noticing the overall number of commands is... what, around 1000 or so? With that being the case, perhaps just a simple keyword search limits the result sufficiently. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
