If you first press CTRL and then drag immediately, you will see the shape. If you first click and wait some time before start dragging, you will get the plus-cursor. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 151046] New: Formulas fail for named ranges with less than 8 characters
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=151046 Bug ID: 151046 Summary: Formulas fail for named ranges with less than 8 characters Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.4.1.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: neme...@wienfluss.net Description: After upgrading from LO7.3.6 to LO7.4.1 two spreadsheets I use on a regular basis failed to calculate correctly. The files consist of several sheet and an overview page that uses formulas with INDIRECT() in combination with several named ranges. Several hours of debugging later, it boils down to named ranges having a minimum name length of 8 characters now. So named ranges already defined, using a shorter name, are failing more or less silently. The formula just results in "#VALUE!". Renaming the ranges and using longer names resolved the issue. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a calc file with LO7.3 (or earlier). 2. Define a named range (e.g. "MINI"). 3. Use the named range for some calculations and confirm it works. 4. Open the file with LO7.4. Results break. Actual Results: The formulas failed and faulty results where calculated. Expected Results: If a minimum name length for named ranges is required, Calc should warn users when opening files using named ranges with shorter names. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 151041] Changing right page margin changes horizontal scrolling position
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=151041 --- Comment #2 from fml2 --- For me, this a very unexpected behaviour. I do something in one area and a certain context and get thrown to a completely different context. This is not how I understand the principle of the least astonishment. > What happens when you fill the page with text, position the cursor near the > end > of a line and then apply the margin change? Depending on the resulting text, the h-scroll position changes so that the insertion mark is visible. This confirms your words "the edit focus has shifted the vcl canvas view to follow the edit cursor of an empty paragraph". But this is not what I'd expect. This changes the context too much. What if I missed the desired margin and want to correct it again? All of a sudden, I'm somewhere else and need some seconds to realize what just happened. My expectation would be that the visible part of the page does not change after working with the margin ruler -- even if the insertion mark gets out of view. After I move the insertion mark (by typing a letter or by moving it with the arrow keys), I'd expect the insetion mark to become visible because now the insertion mark is my mental focus. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 151044] New: [gtk4] unable to reach some menu items in long menus on small screens
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=151044 Bug ID: 151044 Summary: [gtk4] unable to reach some menu items in long menus on small screens Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.4.1.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: UI Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: kosd...@genodeftest.de Description: On a computer with a small screen, I cannot reach the lowest menu items using the mouse. Scrolling does not work. This is a regression compared to the gtk3 version. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Have a small computer screen (1366 x 768 in my case) 2. Open LibreOffice with 3. Open any long menu, e.g. the "view" menu Actual Results: Unable to reach the element at the bottom of the menu. Scrolling does not work. There are no "down" arrows or anything to enable scrolling the menu without the scroll wheel (those down/up arrow buttons are present in the gtk3 version). Note that the gtk4 version shows a scrollbar but I cannot interact with it. Expected Results: Be able to reach the menu items at the bottom of the menu. Preferably by two different ways: 1. scrolling the mouse wheel (as in the gtk3 version) 2. up/down buttons at the edge of the menu (as in the gtk3 version) Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Both of the following versions are affected: Version: 7.4.0.3 Build ID: 40(Build:3) CPU threads: 2; OS: Linux 5.19; UI render: default; VCL: gtk4 Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI: de-DE Calc: threaded Version: 7.4.1.2 Build ID: 40(Build:2) CPU threads: 2; OS: Linux 5.19; UI render: default; VCL: gtk4 Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI: de-DE Calc: threaded Please note: If started with the default backend gtk3, the issue is not present. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
