Ok if you still reproduce this, please give a try with
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps#Corrupted_user_profile.

Let's put this one to WFM for the moment.
Of course, don't hesitate to reopen this tracker if you still reproduce this.
In this case, it would be great you provide step by step process to reproduce
this.

I had some problems to reproduce the crash because I misunderstood details of
the reports, so here more detailed STRbasedon comment 1, because i need this
one to provoke Crahes for other tets:

1. Open new Calc Document with LibO 7.4.1.2 or later
2. Click into cell D5, keep left mouse button dragged
3. Move mouse pointer to D6 and back to D5 so that D5 becomes highlighted
4. release left mouse button
5. Move mouse pointer to the fill handle (small dot at the right bottom corner
of
the highlighted cell D5) so that mouse pointer becomes a cross
6. drag left mouse button and keep it dragged while you move mouse pointer
   to middle of C6
» Cell cursor appears around C5
7. Release left mouse button
   » CRASH

Dear aqcoder,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Dear Tiiti Kellomaki,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

Until LibreOffice includes support by default, I think it is good to let users
know that citation management is possible with 3rd party extension. I think
that the wording could be changed, however. I think it should read: "You can
use 3rd party extensions to manage citations" or something like that.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 151205] New Paste Special Operations: Maximum, Minimum

2022-09-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=151205

Basically there's no need do any arithmetic operations with Paste Special as
it's always possible to contain those operations in another spreadsheet range
which can be copied and recorded with Paste-Special Number. It's just a
convenience, sometimes a really big convenience, and it reduces the number of
spreadsheet cells.

Example use case:
Tracking a set of measurements where there is no need to keep the history of
measurements, only the last value and the "best" value to date, where "best"
value is typically a maximum or minimum.

One such measurement is the price of a stock option (before expiry date) which
will expire worthless. Such an option will have a maximum price, and it is
desirable to sell such an option as close as possible to that price. Thus it is
necessary to keep track of the maximum price even if you don't keep the entire
price history.

It's best to automate data captures, but manual sampling must occur where
automation is not available such as when there is no API. In this case, every
convenience is a bonus to the user.

While this may seem like a UI/UX issue - that's only the tip of the iceberg.

The iceberg is the proper support for languages in LibreOffice. And before the

You probably tested it :) They give different results with cross-sheet/table
references.

=ADDRESS(2,2,2,FALSE,"Sheet2") is the string value "Sheet2!R2C[2]" in
LibreOffice and Excel. In Numbers it is the string value "Sheet2::R2C[2]"
using two colons.

Overall the casing in the map is a bit inconsistent. A number of functions
like CUMPRINC are all upper-case letters, while others like AverageIfs use
proper case

Description:
After upgrading from LibreOffice v7.3.4 to v7.4.1.2, I couldn't see the black
text well, which should have turned white since Windows was in the "Dark" color
Theme. I changed the color Theme to "Light" in order to use the program for
now...but it would be great if I could return to "Dark" mode. Because it is a
lot easier on the eyes. :) Grateful to anyone who can correct this issue.
Thanks so much!

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Switch to the "Dark" theme mode. Setting->Personalization->Colors->"Choose
your color" pulldown{Light, Dark, Custom}
2. Start LibreOffice, or if already opened the current LibreOffice App (I was
using "Writer") then use the "File" pulldown list. The Black text remains black
and very hard to see...should have switched to a white text.
3.

Actual Results:
Put this information in the above "Steps to Reproduce" listbox.

Expected Results:
Switching to the "Dark" color theme should change the menu pulldown text to
white, and not remain black.

Reproducible: Always

Can confirm this problem is still reproducable in 7.4.1.2 on both Windows 10
and Linux Mint (X11). All of the 3D animations are broken, but 2D ones seem to
be fine. I disagree with other comments that the feature should be turned off.
It is a critical feature that needs to be fixed and removing it would be a huge
step backwards. If anything, let it remain on the todo list until there is
proper funding or someone who understands the code steps in.

LibreOffice Calc, Writer and Impress don't respond to Settings > Appearance
switch between light and dark mode (I don't remember if I was using that to
switch between modes in my original report).

Using Tweaks > Appearance > Themes > Legacy Applications, LibreOffice now
performs as expected (all listboxes or text input boxes corners update their
background corner colors)

However, in LibreOffice, using Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Personalization
and selecting a preinstalled theme with opposing colors to the user default
theme (for example, selecting the preinstalled theme with white background
while Adwaita-Dark is selected in Tweaks > Appearance > Themes) doesn't change
the background and foreground color of listboxes or text inputs, but I don't
know if this is intended.

How it looks like on the big screen

Setup:
- 14inch laptop, resolution: 2880x1800, 150% scale. This is the primary screen.
- ultrawide screen, resolution: 2580x1080, 100% scale.
- using wayland.

Opening libreoffice calc (or writer, or impress) onto the external screen
creates HUGE icons. They seem to be 2x in every direction as he original icons
should be (compared to Mozilla Firefox icons). Moving all the window to the
notebook screen scales the window and icons/buttons to their expected size.
Interesting to see, that the switch between the "normal" and "toobig" size
happens when the windows is fully moved to either of the screens. Moving it
only partially retains the "size" from the previous screen.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Two screen with different scale on wayland (I guess these are the trigger
points)
2. Open LibreOffice Calc (it happens with Writer or Impress as well)

OBSERVED RESULT
Bad scale on the external screen, with 100% scale factor opposed to the
original scale with 150% scale factor. Talking about good vs bad scale is based
on comparison of the buttons/icons inside the window to icons/buttons in other
apps on the same screen.

I opened this issue: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=459736 where Nate
said it seems like a libreoffice issue.

I cannot reproduce your problem. Are you sure you use the right tool? If you
click it if nothing is selected, it opens a floating window "Fontwork". A
screenshot of the tool is attached.

It might be, that the icon for that tool is lost in your settings? Please
customize your settings again. For example add the tool to the menu "Tools".
You find the command "Fontwork" in category "Format".

Note, that there exists another tool "Fontwork Shape" with the same icon. That
is the wrong one.

Sorry, do you really know about what are you talking about? Multi-thread
reprogramming it's less but a trivial task, much worse in a project like

Are you sure that all the described operations are susceptibles to convert to
