[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 147687] Video appears on wrong display with Wayland kf5
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=147687 Michael Weghorn changed: What|Removed |Added CC||m.wegh...@posteo.de Ever confirmed|0 |1 Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEEDINFO --- Comment #1 from Michael Weghorn --- With kf5 on Wayland, GStreamer's "qwidget5videosink" is needed for video playback to work properly, s.a. tdf#125219. In order for this to work, the relevant Qt5 packages for QtGStreamer need to be installed (provided e.g. by package 'qtgstreamer-plugins-qt5' on Debian, probably the same on Ubuntu). Is that package installed? If the issue still occurs with that package installed: Does the issue also occur with current LO versions, e.g. 7.4? [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 151909] Calc not including field (from other tab refer) in SUM
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=151909 --- Comment #4 from TomC --- My theory is that something is happening to the file in passing it back & forth between LibreOffice and Google Sheets. Again, I usually edit the spreadsheet in the latter, but the totals in question are always correct. Then when I later open the spreadsheet in LibreOffice, the cell referencing the other tab/sheet is initially ignored in the SUM calculation. However, I'm finding that once I make any kind of edit to the source tab/sheet, then suddenly LibreOffice "sees" the total in that cell again, even if my edit made no change to the value. I attempted to create a sample spreadsheet that would reliably demonstrate the issue, but was unable to duplicate the problem, even after passing the test sheet back & forth between Google Sheets and LibreOffice. So I'm at a loss to explain the problem that I'm seeing in my Budget spreadsheet. Maybe something is just slightly different in the way the two pieces of software safe the spreadsheet file? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

In addition the style:script-type (20.358) attribute may be used. These attributes belong to a style:text-properties (16.29.29) element. Such element is primarily used in a (16.2) element of family text. Such corresponds to character styles in the UI. In addition it can be used in a element of other family types. Those are used, if a property is not defined in the character style. And as last step it can be used in a . That is used if the property was not found in the other mentioned elements. If you set a language in Tools>Options, that setting goes into the style:text-properties elements in the elements. So you can consider using the elements as a way to set a "document" language. Can there be more than one loext:theme element? If yes, I would expect a reference with that name in the graphic-properties. If not, what is the purpose of loext:name? However, LibreOffice overwrote that saved file with everything except the table when the crash occurred and the crash window told me data would be saved. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 151911] New: Writer crash when moving table column, work not saved when program said it would be
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=151911 Bug ID: 151911 Summary: Writer crash when moving table column, work not saved when program said it would be Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.4.2.3 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: mikefreeman1...@gmail.com Description: I had created a large, multi-page table containing loads of accumulated data in Writer. I decided I needed to reorganize the columns a little, so I highlighted a column and started dragging it to the new location. Before I let go of the mouse button, the entire window disappeared, and a small window came up letting me know that the program crashed, and said that my data up to that point will now be saved. I clicked ok. Once the program came up, the entire table was gone, and many hours of work was lost. I tried reloading the file that I had been saving it to, but of course that's the one that the window I clicked ok on had saved to, which means that not only did I lose the data with the crash, but my saved backup as well. Perhaps the crash window should save to an alternate backup file instead of overwriting the working file. Steps to Reproduce: I haven't tried to reproduce the problem, as I've never seen this happen before doing similar tasks. I would have to completely redo hours of work to replicate the exact situation, and knowing my luck it probably won't happen next time I try. Actual Results: None Expected Results: None Reproducible: Didn't try User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: None -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 151878] LibreCalc buttons change color, horizontal lines from the top and bottoms of buttons radiate across a background image and buttons briefly appear and disappear in the w
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=151878 --- Comment #8 from Michael --- OK I installed 7.4. I removed the grey buttons on Kearsarge, and I replaced them with good buttons from Burton Island. Save, close, re-open. Buttons come up as grey. I opened Omaha. I went to the WR_Data sheet, copied the URL in the top corner. (I found you have to do something on the sheet for it to take.) I then went to the Log Page sheet, entered a couple of numbers in the weather area and did a CopyDown. No brief flash of buttons! I did this test several times, and no flash. This is encouraging. I am stopping for my afternoon tea, and then I will start transcribing with my working copy of Omaha. I will do occasional checks to test for flashing buttons. I will also keep an eye out to see if the buttons on the Setup sheet turn black. It happens randomly, and it often takes a few days to show up. White lines. I did a few goes to WR_data, copy a cell, go to the log page, enter a number, do CopyDown and then a Ctrl-Home. I found no flash of buttons when I did the CopyDown however, the situation with the white lines radiating from the buttons were: 1. None 2. All of them 3. Two of them radiating from the top of the Adjust Angle button, and from the bottom of the <> button just below it. The white lines extended just part way across the image. I just went to look at the spreadsheet again, changing nothing, and now all the white lines are there. When I use the scroll bars, the lines change. Sometimes I get some extending down from random columns, sometimes some of the horizontal lines disappear. I did a Alt-End to put the PM_Start cell at the top of the screen, and then I did a Ctrl-Home. No white lines. Here are two images. (I'm not sure what kind of links are best. These should do.) https://i.imgur.com/BpDTDfa.jpg https://i.imgur.com/4d6vAsx.jpg -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 151830] Save as text with coding utf-8 destroys all non-ascii characters, replacing with question mark
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=151830 --- Comment #1 from Enrique Perez-Terron --- A simple test case: (Since I have a Norwegian user interface, my English translations of the UI labels may be inexact.) 1. I opened a new writer document, and 2. selected the copyright symbol by clicking on the "Omega" button in the 'insert' toolbar. 3. Then I saved a copy of the document (File -> Save a copy) 4. navigating to a temporary folder "C:\cygwin64\tmp", 5. naming the file "Copyright" and 6. choosing the format "Text (choose encoding)". The coding dialog came up with "Unicode (UTF-8)" and "LF" selected, so I just clicked on "OK". I have Cygwin tools installed on my computer. 7. In a Bash command window, I changed to the temporary directory and issued 8. $ od -c Copyright.txt The output was: 000 ? \n 002 Notice the question mark. I will show the expected outcome in the next comment. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 151698] Export presentation as SCORM object for e-learning

The export allows to fine-tune in a secondary dialog where > the requested features could be placed (although embedding a video sounds > smells like copyright infringement). If volunteers want to work on it, why > not. "smells like copyright infringement"... Not at all. Are you familiar with Learning Management Systems and SCORM? That's how we create online training modules with code that allows the learning object to send results to the LMS, via SCORM. SCORM is an object model that uses HTML5 and JavaScript to create a self-contained object that plays the lesson back in a web browser. SCORM and LMSs have been around since the early 2000s and is a standard format. There are payware tools for this like Adobe Articulate and PowerPoint + Presenter but they cost thousands, putting this out of reach of small organizations. Are you familiar with the open source Moodle software? It's used by universities around the world. That is what this is for. There's no open source solution for this, despite being an old standard. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
