[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 152450] New: PostgreSQL JDBC: Creating query - table alias is always appended by GUI, special settings wont work here
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=152450 Bug ID: 152450 Summary: PostgreSQL JDBC: Creating query - table alias is always appended by GUI, special settings wont work here Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.4.3.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Base Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: rob...@familiegrosskopf.de Open a JDBC-connection to PostgreSQL. Create a query by the GUI. Switch design view off. Code is like this: SELECT * FROM "public"."Table1" "Table1" There is an alias for "public"."Table1". Close the editor (query isn't needed any more). Go to Edit → Database → Advanced Settings → Special Settings "Append the table alias name on SELECT statements" isn't set. You could set this or unset this - there is no difference while creating a query in GUI. This isn't only a "cosmetical" problem, because of https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130376 An autoincremented value won't be shown in PostgreSQL if query is created with an alias. Every time you open a query in Design mode the alias will be set. So you have to change to direct SQL code and remove the alias to get a query, which will run with autoincremented values. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Without having taken a look yet: Often, there are many different code paths that something can be reached and the LO code base is rather complex, so at least my personal focus is on other tickets - in particular given that the message by itself has no impact on end users but is "just" a warning. For a11y for example, there is for example meta bug 101912 with more than 200 tickets in the dependency tree. Of course, if a developer wants to look into this, that's fine, but to be honest, I currently don't see much value in keeping this ticket open for that purpose unless somebody is actually planning to do so. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

A user working on a chapter may want to anchor an image to a page but ensuring that does not change if the page count before that changes. So, if there is an option to "anchor to a page relative to the start of the chapter", then the user can add all the pages they want before that chapter and the image will anchor to the chapter. I am working with a 1,600 page document and there are images I want to specifically anchor to a page in that chapter but I will not be able to do that until the end. Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.4.3.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: trivial Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: rferr...@sccoast.net Description: The hyperlink function in the table of contents is very convenient especially for an author working with a complex document. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=152441 Bug ID: 152441 Summary: An option to add to writing aids Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.4.3.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: rferr...@sccoast.net Description: It would be nice to have an option in Options=>writing aids=>options that lets you specify the minimum length of words to ignore. When working with a lot of equations (text based ones) with a variable and a subscript (that's a 2 letter word) that gets marked as incorrect spelling. It would be nice to have the spell check ignore these so that they don't have to be added to dictionary. Another example would be a short equation such as "mgh" (potential energy). If I could ignore words with less then 4 characters then both options would be ignored by the spellchecker and much more convenient to work with. I understand you have the option for check words with numbers and that is very convenient. The requested feature is simply a further extension of the intent of that option. Now, the document uses the "David" font family; and my Writer has a font substitution from "David" to "David CLM", and it works. There are several issues here: 1. Why print this message a zillion times? Once per document is enough. Or if it's intended to relate to a single line, or paragraph, or text run etc - it could mention it, e.g. "On page X paragraph Y line Z" or any other way to refer to a piece of content in the document (e.g. "Nth text element in the document" or whatever). 2. There is no fallback to the same font (that I know off) in this document, or at all. How is that even possible? 3. The David CLM fonts do not have "missing codes" which are necessary for this document -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 152437] New: Align & Distribute multiple inserted images within a Writer document
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=152437 Bug ID: 152437 Summary: Align & Distribute multiple inserted images within a Writer document Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.4.3.2 release Hardware: ARM OS: macOS (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: pba...@gmx.com Description: Forgive me if this has been mentioned elsewhere. Of course it could be because I am a newby to LibreOffice, but IMHO the one thing that would improve LibreOffice Writer, especially when dealing with multiple images placed in to a Writer document, would be the ability to select all the placed images and then use the align and distribute functions! Unfortunately, there does not seem to be anyway to select multiple inserted images within a Writer page or document. The only way I was able to complete the said task was to place the images in to a Drawing Document, select them all, then use the align and distribute function. I then grouped the images and copied and pasted them into my Writer document. This is such a basic function used by many people writing reports, that it is either a bug or a gaping omission! If Libre Office Draw has this capability please make it so in LibreOffice Writer. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Insert multiple images in to a writer document 2.Try to select multiple images using Shift key/ or Command key by a click on each image 3. Failed to select multiple images Resort to using LibreOffice Draw to do the required task 4. Copy aligned and distributed images from Draw 5. Paste in to Writer document. Actual Results: As above Expected Results: My workaround works but it should be a basic function available in Writer. It should have the same facilities as many other word processing applications such as MS word, Pages etc Give the user the ability to align and distribute inserted images (multiple images on the same page or a whole document) within a Writer document without having to jump through hoops! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 152420] Crash using dictation on Macbook
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=152420 --- Comment #5 from g.stj...@warpmail.net --- Thanks Mike I'm unsure where I should respond to your response, so I have done so here. I'm still getting the same issue. I've even assigned the key to the same key you have (ie OPTION +S). There is one notable difference depending on whether the doc is old or new doc. In an old document (i.e. in a previously saved doc with text previously saved), the issue is the same as previously. In a new document, the voice to text appears to work, but there is a 15 second lag between completing the vocals and seeing the text. When you request a system report, how should I convey that, using a screenshot? If so where do i attach a screenshot. One Thousand Apologies for all of my techno-nincompoopery!
