However, it also does not work if I insert $1 in the repeat rows and $A in the repeat columns. Because then only the field A1 (which contains the text for the connected cells) should be repeated. In the cross-printing, with the confirmations, there are no problems. And this should also not occur if I enter $1 as the repeating columns$A:$I and $1 as the repeating rows. Then only the cells $A1:I1 should be repeated and not whole columns, here the error seems to have crept in that the repeat rows are not taken into account in portrait format, while it is the case in landscape format. Also, the result seems to be influenced by whether I join the cells concerned or not. P.S. I reset to Factory Settings, so no user profile.
Also on my system I don't use and I don't have Spanish.
If someone else can confirm this languages appears no matter we are using
Spanish or not, this mean this languages should be added in langtab, and they
don't need to be shown if they are not used by user.
I have seen your recently commits, but I can't test them until next week.

If you set up the first column with what you need to be on every page it works fine and more columns are allowed on the same page. But seems there are not columns to repeat, so set up the rows to repeat and put the page breaks by hand, easily with Menu/View/Page break, as in the attached sample. No. First, it's not an error, just an informational warning. Second, it's
simply that for the es-US language/locale we don't have a predefined entry in
the UI language list
svtools/inc/langtab.hrc
and the entry gets generated as "Spanish (United States) {es-US}" when
encountered.

It's almost perfectly fine. Again, the reason is we don't have a predefined UI
language list entry.
The Spanish 'es' entry probably gets generated because you have
/share/extensions/dict-es/es.{aff,dic} files on your
system. Similar the "Spanish (United States) {es-US}" for
/share/extensions/dict-es/es_US.{aff,dic} and "Spanish
(Equatorial Guinea) {es-GQ}" for
/share/extensions/dict-es/es_GQ.{aff,dic} and "Spanish
(Philippines) {es-PH}" for
/share/extensions/dict-es/es_PH.{aff,dic}
Though for es-GQ 0x7e0 and es-PH 0x7e1 we should probably have a better mapping
involving the 0x00a primary language ID for Spanish instead of the on-the-fly
IDs.

There are three actual cases usability-wise:
1. The user pastes as plain text - i.e., the current Ctrl+Alt+Shift+V behavior;
2. The user would want the pasted rich text to follow the styling of target
document (i.e., the same-name styles get the meaning they have in the target
document; absent styles are added; direct formatting is applied as in the
source) - i.e., the current Ctrl+V behavior;
3. The user wants the pasted text to look as it looked in the source. This is
what this issue is about.
The #3 indeed must *not* be implemented by modifying the existing styles
(because that would re-format existing text); and I would tell that renaming
styles would also be poor, because it would proliferate automatically generated
styles - consider a document, into which you copy some text from other source
many times - will it generate new style_1, style_2, ... style_N each time?
The reasonable implementation of "keep source formatting" paste option would be
to use the target styles, *but* additionally apply direct formatting atop, to
override any formatting in the target document which does not match what was in
the source. The "I want the text to look the same as in the source" case is a
clear sign of unstructured approach (at least locally), and DF is IMO
absolutely fine.
And IMO, some improvement of the paste process would be nice. A dialog is a
no-go; but we already have a drop-down paste toolbar button; and we could try
to implement more convenience tools - see e.g. how MS Word does that, by
displaying a floating toolbar on paste, with buttons allowing to change the
formatting of the pasted text *retroactively*. I don't suggest to copy that
approach, but I suppose that some improvement is possible without intrusive
(blocking) UI (which is a dialog).

If I work in portrait format, there are problems. The table is in the fields $A1:$BA43. The top row is empty and contains the text. The columns are 2.16 cm wide and it is DIN A4 with left and right margins of 0.6 cm. I have connected the fields $A1:$I1 and added a centred text. I want to repeat this text on another page to be printed. But either the text is not printed or only on the far right. If I enter the following under "Format => Print areas => Edit" : Repeat lines : $1 Repeat columns : $A I only get the text on the first page and it is missing on the second page. Repeat lines : $1 Repeat columns : $A :$I If I get the text on every page, but the first 9 columns remain the same, only the small visible part of the 10th column is displayed. With each further click, a small part of the next column is displayed. So after column J => K => L etc. This applies to connected cells as well as to disconnected cells. I have noticed this with versions 7.3.7.2 and 7.4.3.2. When the failure apears in LO and I stop the (extra software Clipboard manager & AutoText) the Clipboard in LO starts to wotk again. Drag and drop works (just tried from Firefox to Calc and Writer) Cliboard doesn't work :-/ After I Pause ClipAngel and Autotex it works again also in LO via Clipboard. Why LO? It might be duplicate to bug 98827, at least strong related. From a user point of view such feature is important as it would allow to import fragments. I would restrict the request to texts, which have root element and start with . The result might not be as expected because LibreOffice's MathML support is at version 2.0. I had been using LibreOffice 6.x since it's release but decided to upgrade this week. I downloaded and installed version 7.4.3 on Mac OS Catalina. The first time I opened one of my spreadsheets (an ods file), the dates already entered were displaying as dollar amounts. I tried clicking to format as date, creating a new column and starting over, but still no joy. I created a new, blank spreadsheet and entered a date into an unformatted cell, 12/23/2022 and then clicked the "format as date" button and it changed the date to a number, 44918 and if I keep clicking it alternates between "12/23/22" and "44918". I'm a software engineer so I was curious what that number represented. I'm used to dates as seconds from epoch (1/1/1970) but these numbers didn't work that way. I used an online date calculator and entered the date 12/23/2022 and subtracted 44918 days, it returned December 30, 1899 as the result. So then I entered 12/23/1899 in the spreadsheet and clicked the "format as date" button and it displayed "-7". So I think I figured out what it's doing, just not WHY. I can provide screenshots and a screen capture video of the issue if needed. Neither modifying SwDateTimeSubType in sw/inc/fldbas.hxx nor exchanging SwDateSubFormat in sw/inc/flddat.hxx solves the problem resp. introduces other. Steps to reproduce (translated from German, so the labels may not match the English LO): Enter the following data in a new spreadsheet (Ax means column A, row x): A1: Test A2: 3 A3: 5 A4: 7 Mark cells A2 to A4, open diagram assistant (insert diagram). In the following dialog press OK (or finish or whatever to close the dialog immediately). Now the diagram contains a legend with the text "Column A" (or something similar). Select legend, right click, call "Data area" or "Data ranges" (DE: Datenbereiche). Change the Name of the data to eg. "XXX", press OK. Legend will change in diagram to "XXX". Save file, format ODS. Right click on row 1 - the whole row should now highlighted. From context menu select "Insert row above" (DE: Zeile oberhalb einfügen). An empty row will be inserted, and the legend will be immediately changed to "Test" (or whatever you entered in cell A1 before).
