UX team: is there a need for this command in the core? Or would this be better
left as a macro exercise for the user?

Thnak you for reporting the bug. But I don't understand how to create a narrow

This was discussed back in 2015 in bug 93605 and the conclusion was that this
should derive from the operating system level (as we use the file dialogs of
the operating systems).

That said, Microsoft Office does have this under Save As.

Additinal information
Option "Uniformous distribution of content between columns" is checked

But I'm not sure, if it is a bug or expected behaviour, because we work with
columns of a section and not with columns of a table.

So I add design-team for a double check

Hello.

When I insert the page number (using Insert >> Field >> Page Number) and double
click on the page number field, the edit fields window opens and I can select
one of those formats.
But there is a bug:

When I select the format "one, two, three,...", the number "1" is inserted
instead of "one"!

And when I select the "1st, 2nd, 3rd" format, the word "Ordinal-number1" is
inserted!

And when I select "a ..aa ..aaa" format, the word "1" is inserted!

And when I selct "First,Second,Third", the word "Ordinal 1" is inserted!

I attached the screenshots.

Many thanks, Stephan and Julien, for your help, that did indeed solve the
problem.

There's no doubt the LO API is a great thing as it allows a user to leverage
the power of Calc by many orders, especially when Calc cell formulae become so
complex their further development begins to be impracticable. (I'm doing some
amateur Covid epidemiology.) However the API documentation is not very
coherently presented IMO; for example, the intention behind the three versions
of the 'setsdkenv*' utility only becomes clearer when the scripts are directly
compared.

Dear RomaNick,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

Dear Stephan Bergmann,

Dear Anatoly,

Dear Telesto,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 152984] New: FORMATTING: support formatted paste from Google Sheets

2023-01-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=152984

Bug ID: 152984
Summary: FORMATTING: support formatted paste from Google Sheets
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.4.1.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: avidseek...@protonmail.com

Related forum post:
https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/support-formatted-paste-from-google-sheets/86358/4

Reproduce:

1. Have a styled sheet in Google
2. Select all,
3. Paste in Libreoffice Calc

One expects to have the (1) style and (2) merged cells all imported to
Libreoffice just by pasting.

Actual result is that it’s no different that “paste unformatted”, and cells are
left unmerged.

However, the opposite works. Try this: Copy a styled spreadsheet in Libreoffice
and paste it in Google Sheets. It will import all colors and merged cells.

Incidentally, I saw a bug report today in which the reporter's common setup has
the navigator docked next to the sidebar: bug 151504.

I imagine this will end up as a "won't fix" because the Navigator might be the
one dialog/panel that users want to have always available, across components.

Format cell vs NUMBERTEXT function

Hi @raal, thanks.
But the issue doesn't happen with the extension and NUMBERTEXT() function.
To see the file, the extension is needed. The last 1.0.11 2022-11-13.
https://extensions.libreoffice.org/en/extensions/show/numbertext-1

So not clear for me where the issue happens. The UI English/Spanish does not
affect.

Other than LOTS of updates; I've been using it as my primary OS since Feb/22

This actually happens whenever you choose a script document that has no modules
in it. A simpler way to reproduce this issue is:

1) Open Writer (a fresh new document Untitled 1)
2) Go to Tools - Macros - Edit Macros
3) In the toolbar, use the Library Selector to choose [Untitled 1].Standard
(which is by default an empty library)
4) Notice the blank screen without the Object Catalog

I studied this code today and simply showing the Object Catalog is not that
simple, because it must be associated with a LayoutWindow that needs to be
either a dialog or a module.

A simple solution would be to create a default Module window whenever the
Library contains nothing.

A proposed solution can be found here:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 152911] VIEWING - High CPU and lag when scrolling on Wayland

2023-01-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=152911

Upon further testing the problem does seem to be fractional scaling, since
setting scaling to 1x and only then opening a new instance of LO has no issues.
Since KDE renders at double the resolution to achieve fractional scaling, it
may just be my computer not being able to render LO scrolling at 4K (AMD Ryzen
5 laptop). The Flatpak version runs better (still choppy), the non-Flatpak
skips all the graphics tests so I may be missing something graphics related as
well.

I'll leave it up to you whether to close this one. Thanks!
