"Outline Styles" sounds reasonable considering the latest activities.
Alternatively "Document Structure" for all headings plus the current "chapter
style" (suspect that average user understand the idea behind chapter/outline vs
text style).

CC Tomaz as he works on themes these days.

Anyhow, IIRC I saw the current LO behavior for some colors in powerpoint,
probably I didn't notice that the set of 5 transforms depends on how light/dark
the color is.

It certainly makes sense to have this more smart set of transforms on our side
as well.

The current static defaults are defined here:

Don't think you need a stamp on every single modification. The reasoning makes
sense.

I suggest to create a META ticket under that all of these modifications could
be collected. Interested persons may find easily what has changed and why.

Changing component to Calc, as this is more about the dialogs.

Changing the summary so it is not restricted to just CSV. The import dialog is
also used when pasting unformatted multi-line text into Calc or when using Data
> Text to Columns.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 153750] New: EDITING a formula in a Calc cell with Insert mode enabled does not delete previous chars

2023-02-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=153750

Bug ID: 153750
Summary: EDITING a formula in a Calc cell with Insert mode
enabled does not delete previous chars
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: lo...@psychoros.com

Created attachment 185481
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=185481=edit
Four screenshots, bottom one first, editing steps above it

I happened to open Calc with the Insert key on my Windows keyboard enabled.
Went to edit a formula in a cell, and found chaos! The top data entry bar looks
like it is working as expected, but replaced characters are not removed from
the actual cell and formula! Except + and - are replaced...

Took me awhile to comprehend what was happening, since I never use Insert mode
in Calc sheets, and didn't even realize it was on - finally remembered seeing
the wide cursor in text apps. If it had been properly replacing characters, I'd
have caught on much sooner.

See the sequence of staged screenshots, bottom one first, upper ones later.

Version: 7.5.0.3 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: c21113d003cd3efa8c53188764377a8272d9d6de
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: default; VCL: win
Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

No idea if this happened in older versions, never tried it before.

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 153749] Calc Text Box cursor bug

2023-02-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=153749

Additional data. The bug seemed to be partially caused by the fact that textbox
was quite high and only part of it was visible on screen (rest below screen).

I noticed then that double clicking a point in textbox seems to cause desired
behavior. This should be changed to single click as it is more intuitive.

Also as default textbox is transparent. Nobody uses a transparent textbox so
default settings for Area should be changed to "Light Grey 5" or "White" (I
would prefer light grey).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 153749] New: Calc Text Box cursor bug

2023-02-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=153749

Bug ID: 153749
Summary: Calc Text Box cursor bug
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.4.5.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: go...@iki.fi

Description:
When using Text boxes in Calc spreadsheet the cursor does not work and there is
unexpected behavior.

Clicking the box you'd expect cursor to appear somewhere (preferably to the
point where you clicked how it works in Excel) but it appears nowhere. When you
start writing text it usually does it to the end of the textbox regardless if
you clicked to beginning or middle.

The issue could be at least partially caused by that the original XLSX and
textbox was created in Excel (2010). But even a fresh textbox in Libreoffice
document has serious usability issues regarding to cursor and selecting point
where to write

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Insert textbox of some size
2. Write a lot of text to it (10-30 lines e.g.)
3. Go back to the spreadsheet to do something else
4. Now click to the textbox to the point where you would like to add more text

Actual Results:
no cursor and writes at the end

Expected Results:
should be cursor and writing to where you point in the text box

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Version: 7.4.5.1 (x64) / LibreOffice Community

This patch implements the new UNO commands for toggling the Watch/Stack
windows.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 153746] New: Character spacing wrong in bullet points

2023-02-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=153746

Bug ID: 153746
Summary: Character spacing wrong in bullet points
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.7.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ido...@gmail.com

Created attachment 185480
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=185480=edit
Shwoing how text in bullet points is compressed

Character spacing is compressed with bullet points. See attached file &
screenshots

This only happens in bullet points, not in regular textboxes or titles

Problem is on Ubuntu 20.04, I do not have other OSs so I do not know if it is
reproducible in Windows /Mac

Can't confirm in LO 7.6 Dev release under Windows 10(x64).All(gif,png and jpg)
exports gave same outputs from source file. There were no grey shadows.

Reproduced, but green highlight has font size 16 (not 12).

Version: 7.3.7.2 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: e114eadc50a9ff8d8c8a0567d6da8f454beeb84f
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Regression, as not reproduced in:

Version: 7.2.7.2 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 8d71d29d553c0f7dcbfa38fbfda25ee34cce99a2
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Back in 7.2, change in font size appeared as one single change in the Manage
dialog.

Under spot testing, seems to be working OK under 7.4.5.1 but since problem was
always intermittent cannot conclusively call it fixed.

FYI, (unrelated) - Insert button is not applying font specified in Special
Characters window. Copy to clipboard & insert in document is assigning (same)
font of context text.

Maybe the issue is that the $ substitution it's forcing to redo the text
position for the whole text for every $ substitution. So it takes a lot of
time, there are 55015 ends of paragraph.
