I've also noticed in this version than pasting a row from that file a few rows
above or below it, is very slow (3-4 seconds). The row is around #10500, and
this is another regression.

Dear sergio.callegari,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

Dear heiko,

However I noticed that when you applied the background color, all the line was
filled. In my screenshot the background applied to the whole paragraph.
The format clone should work on the paragraph style, but I'm not sure what your
paragraph looks like. Maybe you can check your own paragraph format/style

What makes me confuse while the Galaxy icon has 26px*26px in size, the other
themes use different size : 16px*16px, 22px*22px, 24px*24px which is lower than
Galaxy's obviously but those size produces cut offed appearance.

The icon itself is res/baswatr.(png/svg). I just cand find the icon definition
within /basctl/uiconfig/basicide/ui/dockingwatch.ui line 8:

res/baswatr.png

Someone has to provide a code pointer to standardize these icon sizes. Or maybe
it's better to follow the user's icon size settings (small, large, very large).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 154297] New: Object transparency settings are lost when Impress document saved and reopened

2023-03-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154297

Bug ID: 154297
Summary: Object transparency settings are lost when Impress
document saved and reopened
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.3.7.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: dbc...@gmail.com

Description:
When I create a shape (i.e., rectangle) in an Impress document and place it
partially or fully covering an existing shape, and then set the new shape to
use a solid color fill with transparency, it works as expected. However, when I
save the document and reopen it later, the transparent shape settings will have
changed to a gradient fill, a different color, and an axial transparency.
I haven't figured out a way to prevent this behavior.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create an shape object
2. Create a second shape object and place it over the first
3. Set the second object as fill=color, transparent=solid
4. Save and close the document
5. Reopen the document

Actual Results:
The original settings are lost (and the effect is pretty ugly)

Expected Results:
The original transparency settings should have persisted.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

With the change above, the preview is shown as expected.

Removing the previous change and then adding the sleep makes the problem go
away as well.

> Or maybe the `QThread::msleep(500);` would have to be added after the
> `pChild->hide();`, at least that's what the original workaround in LO did.

Using "QThread::msleep(500)" before and after "pChild->hide();" has the same
effect. In both cases the preview is shown after 0.5 seconds.

FWIW I tried with 100ms and it also worked... the wait is barely noticeable. If
we choose to reinstate this hack, may we could try with only 100ms.

Yes, I can not create my own unique style - because any of my styles are tied

That is, if I make changes to the base style, then all changes will be

I don't have this version of LibreOffice installed and can't make a screencast.

If delimiter settings are changed from default to semi-colon before saving a
CSV, then if a new file with a new filename with the same contents is saved
after that, the changed delimiter is not kept but goes back to default.

Example:
Lets say you are working with a file and you changed the delimiter to
semi-colon and save the file. Then you want to save the file with a new
filename and keep the delimiter setting you changed before. The bug makes the
file with the new filename use the default delimiter for CSV files instead.

1.File saved with semi-colon delimiter
2.File saved with new filename
3.File now has new filename but default CSV delimiter.

First Page is labeled Right in RTL

Attached is a screenshot for the first page of an RTL document. The header is
wrongly labeled "Right Page Header".

As the reporter explained in RTL documents the first page is a left page and
hence should have a "Left Page Header".

Also, notice the gutter position is set to "Left" from the drop-down menu and
to set it to Right you need to click a checkbox. There should be only one
widget to set the position.

I also thought that, Ady, but try copying formatted text from LibreOffice
itself (from Writer or even Calc): you'll see that even in edit mode inside the
cell, the format comes across. So a definite bug, in my opinion. We need
consistency here.

Further to Sumit C's GSOC 2019 work and Andreas's follow-on work on bug 101513
theability to customize the Notebookbar MUFFIN assemblages has slipped.

@ady's note copied from bug 140557

Although this might be tangential to the issues already reported here, I must
add an important factor regarding the Tabbed Toolbar UI.

Until LO 7.4.6.2, we can go to menu Tools > Customize > Notebookbar and then
edit the toolbar’s items.

But in:
Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community

...any customization is not actually performed.

To be clear, this problem did not start on that version/date, but earlier. I
haven't tested LO 7.5 in this regard.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 154295] New: Remove Watch icon should convey a "remove" operation more clearly

2023-03-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154295

Bug ID: 154295
Summary: Remove Watch icon should convey a "remove" operation
more clearly
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.6.0.0 alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rafael.palma.l...@gmail.com

This is a spinoff of bug 153789.

See attachment 186053 from bug 153789. Notice that the existing icon used for
the "Remove Watch" command does not make it clear that it is a "remove"
operation.

In its current state, this icon would be more suitable for toggling the Watch
Window instead of removing a watch.

Maybe we could improve this icon so that it conveys more clearly that a Watch
is going to be removed.

These are the icons used by MS (see Watch Window and Call Stack):

Here's a nice idea for a Call Stack icon:

There has been nothing buggy about this since 5.4. The latest commit was adding
an automated test to guard against the bugginess from ever appearing again.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 154006] Calc: Shift+Ctrl+Alt+V does not copy unformatted text in cell selected for typing

2023-03-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154006

Once you are in edit mode, you don't need [CTRL]+[ALT]+[SHIFT]+[V] in order to
paste as Unformatted Text. In most (and possibly all) cases, once you are in
edit mode, a simple [CTRL]+[V] would suffice and get you the same result.

This should be the same for any alternative method to get into edit mode:
double click on the cell, or F2, or clicking on the formula bar’s inputwin.

As the cause has become more definitive I have changed the tagline to reflect
the new reality.

Feel free to ignore most of the initial report. I'll let one of you "big boys"
decide whether the first comment should even be hidden as it's now mostly
irrelevant.

Sorry it was so verbose, I was trying to demonstrate that it must be a new bug
associated with this release and it proved to be a minor variation in my
actions exposing a pre-existing feature.

Build ID: b5c3a7502f7ff6ccf0f829c1f3a2ba50b8584c41

Locale: en-US (es_AR); UI: en-US
Calc: CL threaded
Built 2023-03-19

...any customization is not actually performed.

To be clear, this problem did not start on that version/date, but earlier. I
haven't tested LO 7.5 in this regard.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 154292] CALC 7.4.6.2 is an unstable release when updating from 7.4.5.1 and attempting to block change assorted fonts

2023-03-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154292

Update on the trigger mechanism:
I rolled back LO and the issue persisted.

I can run other LO files whilst the culprit is misbehaving and they process at
normal speed.

I recovered last night's file and it worked fine the first time I tried the
block font change.

I exited without saving and loaded again but this time it failed the moment I
tried the block font change.

Clearly, I must have done something different and have now established that it
is the manner in which the block change is initiated that causes the issue.

If the block is selected and there is a selection of fonts then the font name
box is blank. If the font name is partially typed and the font dropdown is
opened and the font is selected from those presented then it fails.

However, If the block is selected and the font dropdown is directly opened and
scrolled down to the font and the font is selected it works.
