[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 154616] The name of the PDF file generated by Writer cannot be displayed in some PDF readers
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154616 Stéphane Guillou (stragu) changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |NOTABUG Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED CC||stephane.guillou@libreoffic ||e.org Component|LibreOffice |Printing and PDF export Summary|Der Name der vom Write |The name of the PDF file |generierten PDF- Datei kann |generated by Writer cannot |in einigen PDF- Reader |be displayed in some PDF |nicht dargestellt werden|readers --- Comment #4 from Stéphane Guillou (stragu) --- Description translated by LibreTranslate: Created attachment 186483 [details] Presentation of the PDF file name in various PDF viewers/readers The name of the PDF file exported by the write cannot be displayed in some PDF readers. In some known PDF readers, the text appears instead of the file name: "Receiver / short description in the document title". So it is in - Adobe Akrobat Reader - PDF XChange Viewer - PDF XChange Editor Other readers represent the file name completely. So it is in - WPS Office - PDF24 Reader If the ODT file is stored in docx format, and then generated with MS Word as a PDF file, the file name is displayed in all readers. Steps copied from attached file: 1. I use an OTT file as a document template, for example an existing file Privat briefvorlage_din_5008.ott (Private letter template_din_5008.ott). 2. On this basis I write a letter and save it as 20230412 Test 1.odt. 3. I export this ODT File as 20230412 Test 1.pdf. 4. I open this PDF- file with one of the PDF readers, such as Adobe Acrobat, PDF-Xchange Viewer or PDF-XChange Editor. 5. The document appears in the form of an index card (tab) with the name Briefvorlage DIN 5008 universal (Letter template DIN 5008 universal). The PDF file name 20230412 Test 1.pdf was expected. 6. If the file 20230412 Test 1.pdf in the WPS Office or in the PDF24 Reader to open, the file name appears correctly (as 20230412 Test 1.pdf) in the tab title. 7. If the ODT text file is created without using an OTT document template and further exported as PDF file or 8. if the ODT text file is saved as a DOCX or as a DOC file and further saved as a PDF file with MS Word the file name in the tab title will be displayed correctly in all PDF readers. My response: I believe this is "not a bug". The different PDF readers will display different information in the title bar, some show the file name, others show the document title. In Writer, the document title is set in: File > Properties > Description, and I can see the title "Briefvorlage DIN 5008 universal" in your attached file "20230412 Test 1.odt". It must come from the document / template you based your document on. You can change that value or remove it entirely if needed. Hope that explains it! Let us know if I missed something. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Steps to Reproduce: 1.Left click on the background and select "slide properties..." 2.Select above "shade/gradient" 3.Unselect "automatic" below "Increasing" and set as number "3" 4. In type select "axial/axis" 5. Add and save shade/gradient Actual Results: It worked and the shade was saved, infact if I tried to change the the background and then resetting the one I created it was visible as I created it. After saving the file and reopen it, the shade saved and so the background looked/was set in automatic and the colors weren't wide string but a normal colour gradient in axial/axis. Expected Results: It should have showed the shade in the background as I added it before saving the file. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 153985] Horrible performance scrolling up with PgUp when Automatic Spell Checking is on [kf5 (cairo+xcb), X11]
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=153985 --- Comment #13 from Dan Dascalescu --- I've done more testing. With 7.5.2.2 on KDE Wayland, I see fast scrolling, getting slightly slower after scrolling up a few thousand rows, but nothing to complain about. Scrolling again from the last row towards the top while keeping the document open is noticeably faster (perhaps some caching happens?) Version: 7.5.2.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 53bb9681a964705cf672590721dbc85eb4d0c3a2 CPU threads: 20; OS: Linux 6.2; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+wayland) Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded On MacOS though, scrolling the same file is much slower, and uniformly so (doesn't get slower as I scroll up). I tried both 7.4, and the latest: Version: 7.5.2.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 53bb9681a964705cf672590721dbc85eb4d0c3a2 CPU threads: 10; OS: Mac OS X 13.2.1; UI render: default; VCL: osx Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

With the same exact context, changing LO's UI to Dutch (Netherlands) shows the _entire_ toolbar empty. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 154915] "Intersection of ranges produced zero cells" error vs ODF standard
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154915 Eike Rathke changed: What|Removed |Added Ever confirmed|0 |1 Assignee|libreoffice-b...@lists.free |er...@redhat.com |desktop.org | Status|UNCONFIRMED |ASSIGNED --- Comment #1 from Eike Rathke --- (In reply to ady from comment #0) > See "Table 4" in ODF standard: > https://docs.oasis-open.org/office/OpenDocument/v1.3/os/part4-formula/ > OpenDocument-v1.3-os-part4-formula.html#refTable3 > (yes, that link really points to "Table 4"). Because those refTable fragments are 0-based. > https://docs.oasis-open.org/office/OpenDocument/v1.3/os/part4-formula/OpenDocument-v1.3-os-part4-formula.html#Infix_Operator_Reference_Intersection That actually says "If there are no cells in common, returns an Error" without specifying the error value (which is common in ODFF because implementations may vary). We can switch to #NULL! though for interoperability. Note that the table's comment "Intersection of ranges produced zero cells." is only an example (and apparently inspired by Excel), for us internally #NULL! is FormulaError::NoCode that can be set on error conditions producing no code.. (of which an empty intersection could be regarded as such). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
