[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 155200] As of version LO 7.4.x.x large branding icon in the thumbnails of the last used documents.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155200 --- Comment #18 from Mike Kaganski --- (In reply to Stéphane Guillou (stragu) from comment #17) > Mike, what do you think? I think that: 1. On all the screenshots, the overlapping icons scale exactly the same amount as the icons on the left pane. 2. I made the icons show the *same* stable size, not scale *randomly*; but IIRC, it was Heiko who chosen those icons, so my work only fixed the implementation of the original design. It should be now trivial to decide and use smaller icons if wanted; or focus on proper thumbnail scaling, if deemed proper. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Hi and thanks for your message, Yes copying a5 over a6 does do some sort of a full refresh which fixes some cells, but basically all cells affected need a full refresh to fix them (ie. clicking in them and clicking enter). This is not possible for a production spreadsheet, nor a very large one. It is also impossible if the cells in question are locked formula cells (as in the use case of a financial template with total cells which need to be aligned) I am attaching a video of me creating the error from scratch by changing the data type of cell A6 to currency, on a column of numbers with indent right set to one increment. You can see the numbers underneath have the indents removed. The indents are still set in the cell properties, but appear and disappear when scrolling at the end of the video -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142226] [EMF] SmallTextOut support
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142226 --- Comment #4 from QA Administrators --- Dear Valek Filippov, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 155438] #VALUE error for date calculation field (works in Excel)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155438 --- Comment #3 from m.a.riosv --- This is LibreOffice being more strict about some calculations. Sure you can, in D10: =IF(ROUND(C10;4)=0;0;DATE(MOD(IF(MONTH(A9)>=12;(YEAR(A9)-1900)+1;(YEAR(A9)-1900));100);IF(MONTH(A9)=12;1;MONTH(A9)+1);DAY(A9))) It is using the MOD() function to get the rest from 100, the year with two digits. But in any case inside formulas four digits should be used, to avoid problems. =IF(ROUND(C10;4)=0;0;DATE(IF(MONTH(A9)>=12;YEAR(A9)+1;YEAR(A9));IF(MONTH(A9)=12;1;MONTH(A9)+1);DAY(A9))) which makes the formula even more simple. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 155441] New: Rendering bug for indent right in Libre Office Calc - ODS and XLSX
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155441 Bug ID: 155441 Summary: Rendering bug for indent right in Libre Office Calc - ODS and XLSX Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.3.5.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: pauloff...@yahoo.com.au Description: Libre office has some strange bugs with indenting on the right hand side in programmatically generated XLSX files (Apache poi 3.17 to 5.2.3 tested). Bug is also present if ODS file created from scratch in Calc GUI. Steps to reproduce if file created from scratch in Calc are included in the report at steps to reproduce. If we style cells in a column with cell border bottom of a certain color and thickness, data type as currency (or any other type) and indent right of 1 (or any number), then create a few other cells in the column with a different style that is almost identical but changes the border-bottom color, or thickness, or the data type (any different to the first style), then the right hand indent will be wiped out for some cells intermittently. Indent is not wiped out if horizontal alignment is set to the left. Indent is fixed if the user enters the cell and clicks enter to refresh the cell (but this is not available if the cell is protected and locked) This rendering bug is also somehow affected by wrap text e.g. if wrapping is true, then the right indent will be permanent, but if wrapping is false, scrolling the affected cells in and out of the viewport will make the error go away then come back each time the affected cell goes in and out of the view. Changing the zoom level or maximising the window will remove the indenting as well, until the user scrolls the affected cell out of view, then back into view. The only repeatable solution to fixing this issue I have found, is to set a new font for the styles on which we have changed only border thickness/color or data format. As we would normally want to use the same font color and size, a workaround is to just change the font size from 11 to 11.01 or some other variation. This doesn't seem to result in any difference in final font size in Libre office or Excel. Tested in libre office 7.3.5.2 (Win 10 64 bit) and 7.4.7.2 (Windows 7 64bit) Steps to Reproduce: 1.Enter values in cells A1-10. 2.Set border bottom of any thickness and to black (A1-10) 3.Change styles or a1-10 to currency and indent right of 1 increment 5. Change A6 to orange border bottom Actual Results: Cell a6 and a7 have indent right wiped out. A7 indent comes back when you scroll out of viewport. A6 does not Expected Results: Indent should be maintained Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Version 7.3.5.2 x64 windows 10 - also tested on a newer version where bug is still present version 7.4.7.2 Tried fresh install on new machine. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 155352] AT support - Implement edit cursor-tracking for pan and scroll of document view port
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155352 --- Comment #5 from Michael Weghorn --- Cursor-tracking works fine on Linux with GNOME Magnifier (s. e.g. the commits related to tdf#149952 to make this work on Wayland), but I can confirm it doesn't work for me with LO and Windows Magnifier on Windows. IIUC, what happens on Linux is that LO sends caret-changed events and the magnifier then queries the current caret position + then the corresponding coordinates and takes care of moving the scaled view to the corresponding place, so LO does not have to do that by itself. I don't have any experience with Windows Magnifier etc., but suppose it should be similar there in general. From a quick look, it looks like notification of changed cursor/caret and the methods to query the current position appear to be implemented in the winaccessibility module in LO, so it might need further analysis why it doesn't work. In a quick test, the cursor was properly tracked with Windows Magnifier when using Notepad++ instead of LO. But then, the fact that Windows Magnifier is closed source makes analysis more difficult, since it's not possible to see what happens on that end. (And it might be possible e.g. that something would have to be changed in Windows Magnifier, e.g. it could be that it only supports UIA events, but not IAccessible2, which LO uses,...). Is there possibly any open source alternative that is known to behave similarly (cursor-tracking works with other apps, but not LibreOffice) that could be used for the analysis instead? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

It is true that it is awkward that the formatting can be kept until the "formula" is modified. It is also possible to format a formula starting with "=", but it shouldn't be visible when finished editing because it usually displays the results (or an error). Eike an UX team, kind of related to the confusion in bug 132026 and bug 129369, there's the bigger question: why doesn't a formula that starts with +/- behave more like a formula starting with "=", i.e. either giving the result of the formula or errorring if it's invalid? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

It made me realise that results depend on the selection.
