https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117852 --- Comment #9 from QA Administrators --- Dear Gabor Kelemen, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 155778] Last line of page passes to next page even without widows and orphans.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155778 --- Comment #3 from Hudson --- I think you didn't understand the problem (or I didn't understand your solution). The central problem is that it occurs a transposition of the first line of last paragraph of the page, to the next page, without orphans nor widows set, because the first line goes together the remainder of the paragraph to the following page. What it should happen is that the lonely line should stay in the previous page, did you catch? I think that it doesn't need a break to correct the problem, because I want the line lonely in the previous page, not to break the paragraph. Detail: even if you backspace the first line of paragraph from the next page to the previous, when you reopen the file that line go back to the next page, to stay with the next page. I think that it is a problem with disabling widows and/or orphans. I disabled both, but I got the error. Thanks by your attention. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 155781] New: documents never open up where I left off.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155781 Bug ID: 155781 Summary: documents never open up where I left off. Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.5.4.2 release Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: spjggvlksniwaor...@bbitq.com Description: as the summary says. Documents never resume where they are left off. both on windows 7, windows 10, and I've tried it on 3 linux distributions, so I know this is a gigantic bug that exists on the platform LibreOffice itself. Steps to Reproduce: This happens on linux and windows on all releases I've tried. 1. open any document, it isn't where I left off. Ever. 2. I do have a name entered in the author box, it still doesn't work and is often 10+ full pages off of where I left off. 3. even shift+f5 it is still off. Actual Results: Not where I left off. Ever. Disrupts my workflow and it's an annoyance that shouldn't persist this long. Expected Results: I expect a document to open up and be where I left it off. The page should be in the same orientation that I left it in, and the type cursor should be right behind the last letter I left it at. Without fail. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: This was solved in OpenOffice and people have complained about this for years. I love OpenOffice and I want to love LibreOffice too, but ignoring these kind of fixes is what eventually kills the platform. Shift+f5 is not an acceptable fix/answer, and while it usually brings me to the page I left on, the cursor is still off sometimes. I shouldn't have to hit any keys or do anything to have my work pickup where I left off. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 101625] continue fulfilling input fields
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101625 --- Comment #6 from Edmund Laugasson --- OK, Navigator is really better than list in editing field dialog. But when opening field editing via Navigator, the button Edit is greyed out in that field editing dialog. I can change only field window title but not content. I assume that edit button should allow to edit also field content. Then I have directly in text open the field dialog box in order to change the content - this is actually already fulfilling field. Would be more logical, when opening field editing via Navigator, there is truly all field elements possible to edit. Certainly editing field opens always same field editing dialog, where that Edit button is greyed out. Anyway, to come back to initial issue, I proposed design ideas. At the end of page 3 there is a design idea, which corresponds to current bug report most. I understand, that in Navigator we see fields but opening its editing should offer to edit all field elements as proposed at the end of page 3 in attached PDF-file. Showing fields in navigator does not solve field editing issues we currently have. To precisely correspond to current bug report topic, there could be separate shortcut key to continue fulfilling fields, where it left off last time. This means that Writer should determine, whether field is fulfilled or not. Currently it is misleading, that editing example text in field goes via opening field for fulfilling. If there could be distinguish editing and fulfilling field, also continuing fulfilling fields could be solved. Try to imagine a situation where you have lots of fields in same document. Then continuing to fulfill those fields on next time is painful as there is no indication, where fulfilling were left off. The easiest solution could be shortcut key but certainly there should be at least one way to continue without knowing that shortcut key. E.g. in Navigator there could be so, that already fulfilled fields are normal but not yet fullfilled are with bold font. There would be expected also under mouse right click menu a choice "Mark not filled" - this is necessary to mark certain fields not filled again, e.g. despite fulfilling field, user decides this should be fulfillable again. Certainly also bulk marking should be possible, e.g. marking all or certain fields via Navigator and change unfilled them. This means Navigator should allow to select more than one field - currently Navigator does not allow that. Marking a field unfilled should pertain its content. Unless in editing dialog the content is changed but filled status is not touched. When opening fields in Navigator, there should be near fields category a small button, which allows to continue fulfilling fields where it were left off. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
