Yes, Gnome 44.2 with Wayland. However: Having tried various situations, it turns out: - it happens only for certain fonts: · Bug does NOT appear with e.g. Carlito, Comfortaa, Droid Sans; · Bug DOES appear with e.g. NotoSans, Cantarell, DejaVu Sans; - I can reproduce the bug with a fresh download and boot of 'Fedora-Workstation-Live-x86_64-38-1.6.iso' in VirtualBox. All I needed to do was install the OS in a VM (did not install updates), start Impress, and the white slideshow-title "Freshes Impress Template" (with default font Noto Sans) is black in the pdf, while the original white text below "Lorem ipsum…" stays white in the pdf… -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 156321] New: FORMATTING: Styles lost on nested elements in content
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156321 Bug ID: 156321 Summary: FORMATTING: Styles lost on nested elements in content Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.4.7.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: libreoff...@mrphlip.com Description: I'm working on software that generates odt files, and recently we have been having an issue where some styles aren't coming across correctly in LibreOffice. In particular, if we have two nested elements, the styles in the outer span are not necessarily applied to text inside the inner span. This seems to be happening when *all* the text is inside the inner span, I suspect something is trying to collapse the two spans together into a single element and some of the styles are getting lost in the process. See the attached sample, which I've minimised as much as I can... in the first paragraph we have a span with bold formatting, and inside that a span with a font set... opening that in LO, the text has the specified font, but is not bold. In the second paragraph there is extra text between the two spans, and in this case the bold formatting is applied appropriately. Is there something wrong with the document here, that we aren't generating it correctly? Or is this a bug in LO? It was working correctly in 7.3.7.2, with both paragraphs coming through in bold, but the issue is reproducible in 7.4.7.2 and 7.5.4.2. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the attached odt file Actual Results: The first paragraph is not in bold, while the second paragraph is bold. Expected Results: Both paragraphs are in bold. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Version: 7.5.4.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 36ccfdc35048b057fd9854c757a8b67ec53977b6 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 22621; UI render: default; VCL: win Locale: en-AU (en_AU); UI: en-US Calc: threaded -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 88199] Table: Backward selection does not shrink properly
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88199 --- Comment #11 from QA Administrators --- Dear Harald Koester, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! There is some dummy text on the right side of the frame, the frame is aligned left and has 50% width. Currently the frame is totally on the first page. (1) Open attached document. Open the page properties and set top and bottom margin to 15mm. This makes the available space for text less high; the frame no longer fits on the page and the frame tries to break. => LibreOffice hangs. (2) Open file again. Now mark all paragraphs in the table and assign paragraph style 'Body text'. That introduces a distance after. The rows become higher and the frame no longer fits on the page. Again LibreOffice hangs. Some sort of filmstrip "slider" to move hidden controls into view keeping the same. Otherwise looking at Desktop builds of Excel 2019 and 2021, MS uses API calls to progressively collapse each of the Ribbon groupings individually in response to narrowing app frame. LibreOffice has no such capability. Rather, because of the lightweight framework used for LibreOffice's MUFFIN XML assemblages, the exposure chevrons simply toggle any hidden controls visible in a pop-open bar. There is some priority set as to what is hidden as width is reduced, but minimal control. It is suitable to task cross platform and does not require much native code to function the same for all builds. I don't see much utility to implementing a new UX paradigm, and for sure not simply to chase a MS gimmick. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 156274] Table Properties | Table | "Text direction" is confusingly named
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156274 Maxim Monastirsky changed: What|Removed |Added CC||momonas...@gmail.com --- Comment #3 from Maxim Monastirsky --- (In reply to William Friedman from comment #0) > 5. Change the "text direction" to "Right-to-left (RTL)." > 6. Start typing in a cell. Notice that the actual text direction is still > LTR. I can't reproduce this. For me, text direction is also switched to RTL (can be easily seen by looking at the state of the RTL toolbar button). It just doesn't switch paragraph alignment from left to right in addition. As direction and alignment are really separate things, I wouldn't expect the table dialog to change both. This is unlike that toolbar RTL/LTR buttons which attempt to provide a convenience method of changing both settings at once. (In reply to Stéphane Guillou (stragu) from comment #1) > I also note that writing a word, then pressing space will make the cursor > jump to the left, then continuing typing will append back to the right. ... which means that the direction was actually switched to RTL, and is consistent with my observation. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 156317] Table Properties | Table | Text Direction | Use superordinate object settings doesn't seem to do anything
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156317 --- Comment #2 from William Friedman --- Ah, thank you, that does indeed work. This is therefore a problem with the documentation, which does not specify (here or on the help for "Text Flow," where the option "use superordinate object settings" appears under Text orientation") what the superordinate object of a table is. Does this bug report suffice to report that documentation issue, or should I open a new one specific to the documentation problem? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
