Thank you very much. I really > appreciate it. Yes, "Not Assigned" means that no one has specifically taken responsibility for fixing the bug. It is not caused by a virus, conflicting program, or hardware issue; the same version of LibreOffice has the same problem on everyone else's computer (for example, mine). I, too, am working on a book project, and I reverted to an earlier version of LibreOffice because of this issue. Downloading new versions will not help until this bug is marked as RESOLVED, but downloading an old one will! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 153976] Raster image blurrier when size reduced
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=153976 --- Comment #4 from Kurosh Tavassoli --- @ Stéphane Guillou (stragu) I don't think this bug is related with the one you mentioned. There they ask for a feature request. I think there are several methods for resizing images. The one used most commonly is 3-point interpolation. In the other bug they are asking for other resizing algorithms to be implemented. I've uploaded a screenshot of how it looks like on my monitor. I've also tested on several other computers with different displays and GPUs; they results were the same. If you use another decent program (like GIMP) or resize the image in an image viewer you can clearly see that the blurriness doesn't happen there. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 146153] Enable LibreOffice to be built on Wayland without X11
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146153 --- Comment #2 from junkmailnotr...@yahoo.com --- Adding my vote to this bug. I too use Gentoo Linux. For me, LO is one of two packages blocking the complete removal of X11 (the other being xdg-utils). A cursory audit of libreoffice-7.5.3.2 shared objects shows the following hard links to X11 libraries: File: /usr/lib64/libreoffice/program/libdesktop_detectorlo.so 0x0001 (NEEDED) Shared library: [libX11.so.6] File: /usr/lib64/libreoffice/program/libmergedlo.so 0x0001 (NEEDED) Shared library: [libX11.so.6] 0x0001 (NEEDED) Shared library: [libXext.so.6] File: /usr/lib64/libreoffice/program/libvclplug_genlo.so 0x0001 (NEEDED) Shared library: [libXrender.so.1] 0x0001 (NEEDED) Shared library: [libX11.so.6] 0x0001 (NEEDED) Shared library: [libXext.so.6] 0x0001 (NEEDED) Shared library: [libXrandr.so.2] 0x0001 (NEEDED) Shared library: [libXinerama.so.1] File: /usr/lib64/libreoffice/program/libvclplug_gtk3lo.so 0x0001 (NEEDED) Shared library: [libX11.so.6] I presume libvclplug_genlo.so is the "gen" VCL plugin mentioned previously. I understand why that needs X11. I presume libvclplug_gtk3lo.so is the "gtk3" VCL plugin. In principle there is no reason why that needs X11. I have built libcairo.so, libepoxy.so, and libgtk-3.so without X11 support. Happily, LO will still run without an X11 server running. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 156431] New: Undo doesn’t reset save document status
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156431 Bug ID: 156431 Summary: Undo doesn’t reset save document status Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.5.5.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: bugzi...@kgb.ovh SUMMARY Unlike most software, if you modify something in a saved document, then revert this change, LO doesn’t remember that the document is identical to what is has already saved. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a [new] file or save your current open document. 2. Change one or more things. 3. Cancel once or several times according to what you did in step 2. OBSERVED RESULT The Save (floppy disk) icon has a red dot showing the document has to be saved. If you want to close the document, LO will ask you to save it first. EXPECTED RESULT By reverting the changes, you brought the document in the original status, therefore it is identical to what is saved, thus there is no need to save. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 7 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Unlike LO, many software (should I mention its main competitor?) remember this correctly. Not having to save will avoid an unnecessary question if you opened (let’s say) a spreadsheet, filtered some data to check, reverted that, then you want to close the file. It will avoid unnecessary doubts from the user during the workflow (did I save the file when necessary?) And it saves time on big files or external devices if you have to save “just by precaution”. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
