https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156509 --- Comment #13 from danomois --- Olivier, This is interesting - in both versions below when I open your file example_2023.odt the image of the partially stitched shoe is there. I attached a screenshot just so you can see it. I also copied the same image from the website myself in a blank writer document and it shows up as you would expect. Given the impact of French fashion on the world I take this very seriously ;). Maybe I can ask a follow up: I attached an example of how I highlighted the webpage image prior to CTRL+C - is that how you were selecting the image? Like dragging your mouse over the area then just copying it? Because if so I'm just not sure what to say - maybe it's a version bug and if you download the latest it will cure it ... but I'd hate to have something so basic be an ongoing bug because like - this is something that needs to work. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 156524] New: Make it easier to export spreadsheets to pdf
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156524 Bug ID: 156524 Summary: Make it easier to export spreadsheets to pdf Product: LibreOffice Version: Inherited From OOo Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: erw...@alumni.beloit.edu Description: Many of the steps to export spreadsheets are hidden away under Format > Pages and/or Format > Print Ranges, and not available in the Export dialogue. Some steps will throw errors. Some options imply they address these issues, but actually do not. Steps to Reproduce: If I try to export a spreadsheet to pdf, I will need: 1. Column and row headers on each page. 2. Grid lines. 3. Sometimes landscape view. The default settings lack these, and the export dialogue lacks options to set these up. Going from easiest to hardest... 3. Open Format > Page Style > Page and select "Landscape." The problem is that this isn't in the export dialogue, and you have to know where to look. 2. Open Format > Page Style > Sheet and check "Grid." The problem is that this isn't in the export dialogue, and you have to know where to look. 1. There are options under Format > Page Style > Header and Format > Page Style > Sheet which imply they will print the headers, but they will not be enough. Instead users are supposed to use Format > Print Ranges > Edit. And figure out what causes "invalid sheet reference" and avoid it. A lot of documentation suggests users select the rows or columns, but if we do select a column, that will narrow the print range instead. If we try to copy the info to the appropriate section, we get the "invalid sheet reference" and it turns out users need to A. Select All before Format > Print Ranges > Edit, figure out the appropriate syntax for the rows and columns, and type that in. Actual Results: Try to export to pdf using the export dialogue. Expected Results: All the necessary options should be in the export dialogue. Or if not, at least there shouldn't be misleading options in the Format > Pages ? Headers and > Sheet dialogues. And there should be an easier way to select rows and columns to repeat. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.5.0.3 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: c21113d003cd3efa8c53188764377a8272d9d6de CPU threads: 4; OS: Mac OS X 10.14.6; UI render: default; VCL: osx Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Notice that frame is around the caption text (apparently excluding the image). It's actually inside the frame (double click Frame301). The visual feedback is slightly confusing. Bug B 1. Open attachment 163568 2. Save As DOCX 2010-365 3. File Reload 4. Select the frame (not the image) called Figure 3 (Frame286 in navigator) 5. Change the anchor to: 'To Character' 6. CTRL+Z. Frame and image are out of sync. Possibly reported before. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 156246] can't clear background of cells of various tables at the same time
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156246 Adam664 changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDINFO|NEW Version|7.5.4.2 release |5.3.0.3 release --- Comment #5 from Adam664 --- Reproduced the behavior on Version: 5.3.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: 4136757b4e51c4e6f7cb4132c95538a7f831ef2c CPU Threads: 1; OS Version: Linux 6.3; UI Render: default; VCL: gtk3; Layout Engine: new; Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group Changed earliest affected to version listed above as that's the earliest version I have available at the moment. It seems that none of the table attributes can be changed on multiple tables at a time. i.e. you can't change the border of multiple selected tables. You can change the text in each cell, when multiple tables are selected. This may have to do with how/what is actually selected, is it the table that's selected or is it the text inside the table? Updated steps to reproduce: 1. open attached simple table background 2. select all text by using Ctrl A(press multiple times as needed) 3. right click selection, go to table properties, select background, select color, select table, then change the color of the background The background of the multiple tables stays the same. Setting to NEW, may need to be considered as a UX improvement. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 156512] Base don't refresh inserted row when using an updatable XResultSet
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156512 --- Comment #3 from prrv...@gmail.com --- After further investigation, it appears that the driver must provide a connection offering at least the UNO service com.sun.star.sdbcx.Connection or com.sun.star.sdb.Connection and must support the updatable resultset to be able to reproduce. Obviously the same is true for all the services provided by the connection (Statement, PreparedStatement, CallableStatement and ResultSet) they must be of the same level (com.sun.star.sdbcx or com.sun.star.sdb respectively) jdbcDriverOOo offers the big advantage of being polymorphic and of being able to provide the levels of UNO services which are requested from it in: Tools -> Options -> Base drivers -> JDBC Driver -> UNO drivers settings On the other hand, this issue is indeed the only one where I am not sure that the problem comes from LibreOffice and not from my extension, since I have this problem regardless of the version of LibreOffice. But if I look at how Base uses an updatable resultset I still don't understand why the first thing it does is to switch to insert mode (with moveToInsertRow()) when it is just supposed to display the contents of the table... Normally, at least with JDBC, when you switch to insert mode you can no longer move in the resultset until you exit insert mode. That's not what Base does This forces me to manage this very special case in my driver and do not really know if it is really a Base problem or incompatibility between UNO SDBC and JDBC. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156495 --- Comment #18 from ady --- (In reply to Colin from comment #17) > @ady Is "group_numeric_buttons" the formal name convention for those buttons? As you know, the feature is located in menu Data > Group and Outline. AFAIK, the "plus/minus" mini-icons are "outline symbols" and the numeric mini-icons represent "outline levels", so I would call the icons "outline level symbols". Generally speaking, the UI areas in Calc (and to some extent, in spreadsheet tools in general) are not well-known, and are not documented enough, with clear screenshots with proper (official) names (with pointing arrows to each UI feature/area). Regarding my comment 15, it was an attempt to reduce confusion (for @Roman and other readers) with brevity, using _numeric_ as opposed to _plus/minus_ miniature buttons / icons. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 156523] New: Reconsider the use of encryption in password-protected documents
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156523 Bug ID: 156523 Summary: Reconsider the use of encryption in password-protected documents Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: symr.vrta...@xupiv.com Total surveillance of private communications through client-side scanning will soon be implemented in the West, and eventually, worldwide. The absence of prominent calls to action against bills like the UK Online Safety Bill on LibreOffice websites, despite their Orwellian nature and the need for widespread implementation of DRM and confiscation of old devices for enforcement, contradicts LibreOffice's commitment to Free Software principles. Many other organizations seem to share this silent approval, and there doesn't seem to be any plan for a last-ditch effort similar to the Net Neutrality protest. It looks like there has been a collective epiphany, and these organizations now secretly believe in the inherent goodness and incorruptibility of benevolent Western democracies and their ability to responsibly handle this immense power. Therefore, in anticipation of mandatory backdoors being implemented, LibreOffice should either remove strong encryption from versions intended for the general public, as documents protected by it will be unable to be transmitted over the Internet, or find a way to modify it to allow for backdoors to scan them. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156495 --- Comment #16 from Colin --- You will also notice from my screen grab that the numbered QR buttons always exceed the layers of grouped cells by one - thereby forcing the ribbon to use enough space to accommodate those buttons. It's the "Lord of the Buttons" with an extra button to control them all. Aligning them in the same plane as the existing buttons thereby releases the "dead space" between the grouping lines and the margin - and I reiterate; once there are layered groups then there is always available space alongside the lowest level which could accommodate the QR buttons -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
