We need steps to get to the broken chart. Trying to mimic the chart in attachment 132561, I used: 1. Open attachment 132635 2. Select range E28:F29 3. Insert chart > Next > Data series in columns; Finish 4. Insert > Titles > X axis = "fuel type" 5. Click on the first bar, then Insert > Y Error Bars > Cell Range; turn on "Same value for both"; select cell E30 for the "Positive" field; click OK 6. Repeat for the second bar 7. [Bug 159180] Add support for refined-doughnut charts
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159180 Stéphane Guillou (stragu) changed: What|Removed |Added CC||stephane.guillou@libreoffic ||e.org --- Comment #9 from Stéphane Guillou (stragu) --- Created attachment 192224 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=192224=edit GNOME's disk usage analyser In my opinion, this is more useful for when subcategories are exclusive to their main category (example in attachment 191932) whereas an example like attachment 191931 (a good example of a "bad data visualisation" in my opinion) should be represented as a categorised bar plot in which one single colour is used per subcategory, or some kind of Sankey plot. In any case, and regardless of how doughnuts and pies are generally not good for comparing values, I can see how it can be useful, and notice its popularity in infographics. If it is implemented, I think it should also accommodate subcategories that don't sum up to 100%. It is for example used in that way in GNOME's disk usage anaylser (with the treemap as an alternative visualisation) - see attachment. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Bug 152943] GetErrCode() doesn't work as expected on RISC-V due to floating-point NaN payload not being propagated
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=152943 --- Comment #8 from Sakura286 --- (In reply to Eike Rathke from comment #5) > We might have to have a runtime check in Calc as well and bail out if NaN > payloads are not supported. Yes, a compile time check cannot guarantee that this functionality works well at runtime. So what behaviour should Calc take when detects the lack of NaN payload support at runtime? As I understand it, there might be three solutions: 1. Giving a warning and shutting down calc. 2. Giving a warning and disclaimer. Calc continues running. 3. Silently switch to a non-NaN payload mode. For #1, maybe it is a bit distructive to directly rule out RISC-V as a supported platform. #2 is a transitional solution. For #3, is it possible to add this feature? According to my observation, on riscv64, Calc does return error code when a formula error occurs, but sometimes it returns wrong error code '#NUM'. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 159419] Amount and Range chart (StockChart3) corrupted after save and reload (series shift if categories are multi-column)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159419 --- Comment #7 from gekach...@yahoo.com --- For me, after deleting the day of week (DoW) column and recreating chart: * It is true that save/reload doesn't change the chart in that case. * The chart has some problems that the original spreadsheet had only after reload. - only date of datetime is used for x axis, hour is lost - the right y-axis range 0 to 16 is incorrect, not obviously related to any column (not range of Lo and Hi temperatures, -15 to 5. maybe offset range of Lo values only, -15 to 1.) Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open stockchart3-save-reload-bug-data.ods 2. Select range $A$1:$E$15 3. Menu: Insert / Chart ... 4. Click Stock chart type, the select Stock Chart 3, and click Finish button. 5. Move the chart off the data. At this point chart looks something like stockchart3-default-before-save.png Given data with columns datetime, day-of-week, kW/h, Lo, Hi Selecting all data and inserting a chart, choosing Stock Chart 3 nicely uses - datetime and day-of-week for x axis labels, - kW/h for amount - Lo temperature for low value of range - Hi temperature for high value of range 6. File / Save 7. File / Reload Actual Results: Now chart looks something like stockchart3-after-save-and-reload.png Save and reload corrupted chart - only date of datetime is used for x axis, hour is lost - day of week column is not used for x axis - left y-axis range is incorrect, not obviously related to any data column - right y-axis range is incorrect, not obviously related to any data column - plotted data is incorrect Expected Results: Chart still looks like stockchart3-default-before-save.png Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Version: 7.6.4.1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: e19e193f88cd6c0525a17fb7a176ed8e6a3e2aa1 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: threaded -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 159414] Text cannot be highlighted on Mac using Version 7.5.9
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159414 --- Comment #8 from Patrick Luby --- I had a feeling you might see what you are seeing with Skia/Metal. That is a separate, unrelated bug that was fixed in LibreOffice 7.6.x. LibreOffice 7.6.x uses a newer version of Google's Skia code and that newer version fixed a lot of Skia/Metal rendering issues for some GPUs on Mac Intel machines. Skia/Metal renders much faster than the default macOS rendering. But, it is was pretty buggy on some Mac Intel machines before LibreOffice 7.6.x. In February 2024, LibreOffice 7.6.5 is planned to be released and that version should include the fix for tdf#155266 and the newer version of Google's Skia code so no workarounds should be needed. While we wait for LibreOffice 7.6.5 to be released in a few weeks, there are two other temporary workarounds that you can choose from: - Reinstall LibreOffice 7.5.8. This version does not include any of the changes that caused your original bug report so you won't need to use the Skia/Metal workaround. - Try installing LibreOffice 7.6.4 and use the Skia/Metal workaround -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 159417] New: Problem with Define
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159417 Bug ID: 159417 Summary: Problem with Define Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.6.4.1 release Hardware: Other OS: macOS (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: saherr...@gmail.com This is where I ended up after hitting Provide Feedback > Submit an Enhancement Request. This may not technically be a bug but it is certainly an annoyance. When you highlight the cells that you want to print, you have to go to the dropdown File menu and click on Define to have the program actually grab those cells for printing. A Define icon is not in the File Toolbar. Also, Define is not in the Customization list to be able to move it to the File Toolbar where the other Print actions are located. Only Define Name, Define Labels, Define Range. The latter is not for printing. There used to be an icon for Define in the Print area of the File Toolbar. It got lost somewhere along the updates. I have tried to add a keyboard shortcut for it but no luck. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
