When this is exported as tagged PDF with the Create PDF Form option enabled, PAC tools PDF/UA check will fail with the message "Stack empty". 1. Open attached file (or attachment 186881 from bug 154984 to test with every supported content controls) 2. Export as PDF, with the Tagged PDF and Create PDF forms options enabled. 3. [Bug 159894] New: Libra office 24 keeps overriding Libra office 7.6
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159894 Bug ID: 159894 Summary: Libra office 24 keeps overriding Libra office 7.6 Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.6.5.2 release Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: sally1siev...@gmail.com Description: I foolishly installed the new Libra office 24 on my laptop running Windows 10. Discovered it couldn't make a write document or read one. Uninstalled it and reinstalled 7.6, which worked fine. Until suddenly it was replaced a couple days later by 24, without my doing anything. I uninstalled 24 and reinstalled 7.6 and was okay till 24 reappeared. Tonight I uninstalled 24and reinstalled 7.6. I worked for several hours, And suddenly everything got very weird and it crashed. I looked up and 24 had reinstalled itself again! Now I'm in another fix because Windows 11 is now forcing itself on this machine. I have the creepy feeling that Libra office 24 called it in! We have several other machines in the house also running Windows 10 that we're not willing to upgrade if we can help it, and running older Libreoffices just fine. I am afraid for them. Help! Actual Results: I installed the newest Libra office 24. Found it didn't work. Uninstalled it and installed the next newest. Expected Results: The Libra office 24 reinstalled itself over the Libra office 7.6, This repeated three times. Twice while I was not using the machine and once while I was in the middle of writing a document Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: 24 should have stayed the hell away! I deleted it from downloads and it did not appear in the downloads the last time it imposed itself. If I do insert -> picture : the first page of the PDF is opened correctly. (but I cannot really edit and it is only the first page) If I do File -> open : General Error, General input/output error If I do open Files(app) first, and right click on the PDF, Open with another app, chose draw : file opens more or less correctly now. The reported issue disappeared and that part is showing correctly: Now I see only some minor deviations like here above the "Unterschrift" this X should be not an empty square. and here where words has flowed together Should be like here: Maybe it was a single major problem I wrote in the bug report, but the minor ones I experiencing fast always. However, there is an inconsistency that is made obvious by changing the row height. Try this: 1) Repeat the steps with a table with row 1 height increased by hand. Result: still collapses in the same way. 2) Repeat the steps with a table with row 2 increased by hand. Result: does not collapse. Marking as new, although I'm not sure which way it should be solved (is table 1/2 behaviour preferred, or table 3?). [Bug 159893] New: Upgrade to Kernel 5.6.0 (from 5.15) produces unreliable Mouse Behavior in Calc
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159893 Bug ID: 159893 Summary: Upgrade to Kernel 5.6.0 (from 5.15) produces unreliable Mouse Behavior in Calc Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.3.7.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: sad_bu...@hotmail.com Bug Summary: After upgrading from Linux Kernel 5.15 to 6.5.0 (initially 6.5.0-18, currently 6.5.0-21) my mouse scroll wheel has become unreliable, but only when attempting to scroll "down" and only in LibreOffice Calc... On screen the behavior is indistinguishable from, say, a sticking mouse wheel sensor. Apps tested include:- 1. With Issue:- LibreOffice Calc [Version 7.3.7.2] 2. Without Issue: (basically everything else I've tested, including):- Bluefish Editor 2.2.12 Cinnamon Desktop [i.e. by selecting "All Applications" and scrolling up and down] Claws-Mail 4.0.0 FireFox 123.0 GIMP 2.10.36 Google Earth 7.3.6.9750 [64-bit] GThumb 3.12.0 LibreOffice Writer 7.3.7.2 Software Manager 21.3 Xed 3.4.5 Symptoms are that scrolling "up" a spreadsheet tab works as expected, but when trying to scroll "down" (i.e. pulling the top of the mouse wheel towards you) results in an irregular or "jammed" scrolling of the display on screen. So far, this symptom has only been observed in LibreOffice Calc. It is not visible in LibreOffice Writer or any of the apps listed above. It is very apparent. I'm a heavy user of Calc and was using the application either side of the kernel switch, which made the issue very obvious. Rebooting makes no difference. This hardware platform dual-boots with Windows 11/64-Bit/Pro - and to date zero issues have been observed with any peripherals or apps on Windows. Intend to report this to LibreOffice and potentially to downgrade back to 5.15, but wanted to report here in case it was some kind of odd signalling or hardware interface problem. It has definitely been induced by the kernel change. I am thinking that enabling logging at a verbose enough level is slowing the gpgme code a bit (I would think only slightly since it is probably just doing printf() to a file with existing data) and that is what is stopping the crashing. Usually this is a symptom of a "race condition" which is two threads/processes/etc. both using a shared resource such as memory or a file and the result depends on which competing thread/process/etc. gets to the resource first. So give me a few days and I will read through the LibreOffice code that both of your last crashes converge in and see if I can find something that looks suspicious. I know that gpgme communicates to the gpg command that it executes via some files and/or pipes so maybe the LibreOffice code is reading ahead before the gpg command has had a chance write its output to the files and/or pipes? Just a wild theory at this point but overall this does give me something new to investigrate so that's progress. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Click "Sign Document": this opens dialog "Select Certificate" which shows a list of all secret keys 4. select an OpenPGP secret key and click "sign": This results in the "Digital Signatures" dialog being fillied with the information from that user ID 5. closing that document results in LibreOffice showing a banner above the writer document "This document is digitally signed and the signature is valid." The bug aspect is that, with Excel having threaded comments AND Notes, the Libre comments need to affect Excel comments, not their Notes. The enhancement aspect is that we need both Comments and Notes in Libre Calc to allow for both reading and editing their Excel counterparts. Whether one can be addressed without the other would seem doubtful. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Bug 159887] New: Add option to freeze column widths in Writer tables
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159887 Bug ID: 159887 Summary: Add option to freeze column widths in Writer tables Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.6.4.1 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: will.fried...@gmail.com Description: When a column is added to a Writer table, all of the column widths change to accommodate the new column. This is problematic if certain column widths have been manually set and changing them is undesirable. There is currently no option to freeze the width of a column in a Writer table to prevent it changing if other columns are added or deleted. My suggestion would be to add an option to Table Properties | Column under each column, "freeze column width." What if a user froze all the columns and then tried to add a new column? I can think of two possibilities: 1) disable adding columns if all columns are frozen; 2) if all but one column is marked frozen, disable the ability to freeze the last column. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a table with multiple columns. 2. Manually adjust the width of some of the columns. 3. Insert a new column anywhere in the table. 4. See that the widths of all the columns change. Actual Results: Widths of all columns change. Expected Results: Allow the option to freeze the width of columns. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159863 --- Comment #8 from V Stuart Foote --- (In reply to Olivier Hallot from comment #7) Partly, but the current incorrect documentation applys to usage of the .uno:JumpToFootnoteArea whose shortcut had been reassigned. So documentation in URL as listed above [1] needs attention. However, my suggestion was that the alternative control .uno:JumpToFootnoteOrAnchor which functions as a toggle focus between the anchor and the footnote would provide a better UX than the prior JumptoFootnoteArea and its associated to return to the the anchor in canvas. Either control is fine. Just that the ++ is no longer assigned and probably should not be reused as the global Zoom controls are relatively more significant. A different shortcut is needed for entering the footnote area, so the toggle JumpToFootNoteArea control makes more sense to assign and document in help. =-ref-= [1] https://help.libreoffice.org/latest/en-US/text/swriter/guide/footnote_usage.html?DbPAR=WRITER#bm_id3145819 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
