[Bug 103068] New Database Wizard gets confused between ODBC and JDBC connection if you backup twice to step 1.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103068 Mike Kaganski changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEW |ASSIGNED Assignee|libreoffice-b...@lists.free |mikekagan...@hotmail.com |desktop.org | --- Comment #18 from Mike Kaganski --- Simplified new steps (6.4.0.3+): 1. File->New->Database 2. Connect to an existing database->MySQL/MariaDB => see that "Steps" list on the left has "Set up JDBC connection" step 3; this is normal, because the selected element of the combobox is associated with "sdbc:mysql:jdbc:" hardcoded prefix. 3. [Next >] 4. (*) Connect using ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) => see that "Steps" list on the left has "Set up ODBC connection" step 3 now. Clicking [Next >] at this stage will navigate to the "Set up a connection to an ODBC data source" page, as expected. 5. [< Back] to step 1 again. => see that "Steps" list on the left has "Set up JDBC connection" step 3: this is a regression in 6.4.0.3 compared to 6.3.0.4. 6. [Next >] => See that the radio button is still at ODBC, but the "Steps" still have step 3 mentioning JDBC. Clicking [Next >] at this stage will navigate to the "Set up connection to a MySQL/MariaDB database using JDBC" page. This secondary change happened after commit 69057064d8957804c76e623d57c103c3413b7cbc (weld ODbTypeWizDialogSetup, 2019-08-22). https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/164987 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 104768] Poor linking to Macro documentation
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104768 --- Comment #7 from Mike Kaganski --- IMO: 1. The content on the http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/documentation/ (which redirects to https://documentation.libreoffice.org/en/english-documentation/ for me) needs a huge cleanup. It should only contain a handful of items; the repeated "Calc Guide" for a dozen of versions is not OK. There should be exactly one entry for Calc guide there, one entry for Writer Guide, etc. - maybe with a selector of version, or only for the latest version... 2. The link to the wiki, that is requested in comment 0, should be there, too - allowing interested users to get into any detail level they wish, as a second step.. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 160265] New: Undo of deleting conditional formatting with formula effecting multiple sheets deleted some data.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=160265 Bug ID: 160265 Summary: Undo of deleting conditional formatting with formula effecting multiple sheets deleted some data. Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.3.7.2 release Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: alex...@gmail.com Description: Undo of deleting conditional formatting with formula effecting multiple sheets results in deletion of some data on the source sheet. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Created 2 sheets, first sheet A1 text and A2 a value of [50] 2.Sheet 2: A1 text and A2 [=$Sheet1.A2] and B1 text and B2 Value [55] and E1 text and E2 [=$Sheet1.A2+B2] with Conditional Formatting option "Condition 1" [Formula is] [$Sheet1.$A$2+$Sheet2.$B$2] and "Apply Style:" [Accent]. At this time the value of E2 is automatically bold [105] 3.Delete, the Conditional formatting for E2. Actual Results: 1. E2 is no longer is bold and value is [105], 2. If I wish to undo the last action, the contents of A1 and A2 in sheet 1 are deleted and the value of E2 is automatically bold [55] Expected Results: Undoing last action, (deleting the conditional formatting for E2 in sheet2) should not delete the content of sheet one. FYI: If values were all on the same sheet, E2 [=A2+B2] and the same formula in the conditional formatting for E2 [=A2+B2]. The undo would simply undo the deletion of the conditional formatting. [Bug 160192] CRASH when trying to overwrite file in read-only directory when its lock file exists

In my testing, even though the folder was set to read-only, I had left the file and lock-file as read-write. With comment 10's patch, I was able to save-as overtop, and then continue to save changes afterwards. [Bug 160184] allow to "Encrypt with GPG key" on save using public keys with unknown Ownertrust
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=160184 --- Comment #9 from steve --- Untrusted is expected for any key you import. The two public keys that come pre-installed have unknown Ownertrust for that very reason. The idea is for users to check validity of their keys and then set a trustlevel matching that. GPG Services, the gnupg tool integrating into macOS Services menu does not require the confirmation and allows to encrypt to any valid (but not necessarily trusted) public key. Command line gpg does ask the user how to proceed when the key is untrusted. I am fine either way for LO, leaning towards allowing encryption without a warning. Current behavior certainly is not intended. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Bug 134408] Character transparency don't work properly in Writer and Calc
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134408 --- Comment #22 from Leandro Martín Drudi --- In version 24.2, adequate transparency for emojis is achieved in Writer, but the text font color changes to white (an unintended and unexpected effect). In Calc, the same issue occurs with the font color changing to white, but no transparency is applied to the emojis at all. The same situation occurs in Impress as in Writer. Finally, in Draw, the same issue occurs as in Writer and Impress. [Bug 125217] Replace Mozilla themes with a custom tool
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125217 --- Comment #21 from Leandro Martín Drudi --- Honestly, I don't speak English. I just used Google to translate. I will now take advantage of Artificial Intelligences to make the translated texts clearer. But I believe that if it leads to misunderstandings, it should be changed. The intention refers to reusing what has already been created and "adapting" it to create themes. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Bug 160263] New: Occasionally pasting some unformatted text into Writer hangs LO and deletes the document's formatted header.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=160263 Bug ID: 160263 Summary: Occasionally pasting some unformatted text into Writer hangs LO and deletes the document's formatted header. Product: LibreOffice Version: 24.2.1.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: macOS (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: tuque-hush...@icloud.com Description: I copied some text (two words, about 15 characters) from Apple Notes using Command-C and pasted it into a LibreOffice paragraph using Command-V. It pasted the text with the attributes it had in Notes (DOH!) but I wanted it to pick up the LO formatting. So I undid the paste using Command-Z, I then pasted using a Keyboard Maestro macro to removing formatting. It invokes the LO Edit-Paste Special-Paste Unformatted Text menu option. LO reacted by moving me quite a few pages away from where I was working, deleting at least my entire formatted-text header (I couldn't see if it did the same thing to my formatted Footer), and going into Busy mode, with the colour ball rolling but the program and my document still visible. This issue has happened to me before. This is the third random time, two of which were in OSX 14.3. I never know when it will happen. This is my first report of it. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use Command-C to copy text from Apple Notes 2. Use Command-V to paste the clipboard material into LO Writer document. 3. Use Command-Z to undo the paste. 4. Use Command-Option-Control V to trigger a home-made Keyboard Maestro macro that invokes LO's Edit-Paste Special-Paste Unformatted Text menu command to remove the formatting Actual Results: LO reacted by immediately moving me quite a few pages away from where I was working, deleting at least my entire formatted-text header (I couldn't see if it also did the same thing to my formatted Footer), and going into Busy mode, with the Apple colour ball rolling but with the program menu bar and my document and all of its window still visible. Expected Results: It should have pasted the text unformatted into the paragraph without all the drama. Reproducible: Sometimes User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: I was working in LibreOffice v 24.2.1.2 (X86_64), Writer with a large file of mostly formatted text (272740 words, 474 of 8.5x11" pages). I use Keyboard Maestro in this situation because the macro I created with it is triggered by a keyboard sequence of my choice that does the same unformatting thing in other programs that have their own menu and keyboard choices so I don't have remember any of them to accomplish the same thing. I know that once LO gets itself into this situation, it won't recover itself. The hang just continues. I called up Apple's Force Quit Applications widget, selected "LibreOffice (not responding)" and killed it. That produced an Apple crash report, which will be uploaded to Apple under its schedule (presumably LO gets a copy). Report date is March 18, 2024 circa 11:30 am Pacific Daylight Time. [Bug 160257] SF_Calc.ImportFromCSVFile does not work when empty column
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=160257 Rafael Lima changed: What|Removed |Added CC||j...@ledure.be, ||rafael.palma.l...@gmail.com --- Comment #3 from Rafael Lima --- I can confirm the issue. To test I used a "dummy.csv" file that contains: A,,1 B,,2 C,,3 Hence, there are 3 columns and the column in the middle is empty. Then i opened a blank Calc file and used the code below: Sub ImportCSV GlobalScope.BasicLibraries.LoadLibrary("ScriptForge") oDoc = CreateScriptService("Calc", ThisComponent) oDoc.ImportFromCSVFile("/home/rafael/Documents/dummy.csv", "A1") End Sub The data was imported into 2 columns instead of 3. This should be possible, because the CSV import dialog has an option "Merge Delimiters", so you could create an import filter that adds this option. FilterOptions := "9/59/44,34,76,1,,0,false,false,true,false,false,0,false,false,true" This will work... but I agree that this options string is crazy and it should be simpler. Maybe each option in the CSV import dialog should have its own argument in the ImportFromCSVFile method, since this string is super cryptic... to figure out how it works, one needs to look into the LibreOffice source code. @JPL what's your opinion about this? [Bug 160241] Scrollbar arrows not always visible despite Windows settings

By extension or licensing, incurs a support tail if reimplemented by community. No issues with Win10, so lets get bug 151238 Win11 WDM scrollbar arrow visibility issue resolved, and go from there. Otherwise for general use customization/decoration of the scrollbars seems suited to extension, not core AT support.
