I guess we should be so bold to make the decision to capture the Excel association to Calc.. but I think it should happen on the fly and not altering the modified file as otherwise you would be breaking the files for the people who sent them to you! This is more of a feature request than a bug, though. Adding needAdvice so devs might review the feasibility of the idea.
