If the original problem went away by disabling OpenCL, then the culprit was a problematic OpenCL driver (not a LibreOffice bug). The next version will be more careful about disabling OpenCL, if the driver is broken. I suggest you create a new bug report with your example file. In this spreadsheet with a diagram in it, when editing the diagram LO crashes and conducts 'data-recovery' for the file. When I make a new file, input some data and then want to insert a diagram it does the same, crash and data recovery.
