Bug ID: 101561
Summary: EDITING - converting a cell that contains a date with
initial format being 'Text' to date fails.
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.1.5.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: bureautiqueli...@nantesmetropole.fr
Created attachment 126855

Example of date cell with date format
Steps to reproduce:
1/ Open Example, cell A1 contains date 11/05/2016 but is of type 'Text'
2/ Go to format cell and select date (DD/MM/AAAA)
3/ Result is cell has format date, but now contains '11/05/2016 and wasn't
converted to date
Expected result would be to have 11/05/2016 converted as a real date (without
')
Issue happens on a regular basis, conversion of text to date is useful to fix
documents that use date calculations on text cells that LibreOffice won't
calculate as date.
