We discussed the request in the design session. Indentation is not a function
that requires a shortcut by default, so we suggest to customize it (the
commands are "Increment Indent Value", "Decrement Indent Value"). 

MSO Word indents on tab (and decrease the indentation to zero with backspace)
while we insert a tabulator character. That can be done in Word with ctrl+tab
(or was it ctrl+t?). In the end, we don't think that changing our well-working
interaction makes much sense.

(The "missing" shortcut is not restricted to macOS)

products of the OS so that's better memorizable by users.

I would also prefer to not assign a shortcut as this function is not so
frequently used and we should save the rare shortcuts. Up to the agenda for the
design meeting...

Besides, any combination with [ is doomed as those keys are not accessible on
all keyboards (on German IBM it's altgr+8/9)

I guess this feature request needs input from the UX team?

I had a look on the Shortcut keys help file, and there doesn't seem to be any
support for this on other platforms either

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3)

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to "inherited from OOo";
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add "regression" to keyword

Adding: pages uses Cmd + ] and Cmd + [
since alt+6 = ] and alt+5 = [
this would be consistent with how mail.app behaves adding a +1 that apple
thinks, this is what the shortcut should be.
