[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 104205] [EDITING] Field does not update after variable change if format is general
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104205 Dieter Praas changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEEDINFO CC||dgp-m...@gmx.de Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #4 from Dieter Praas --- I think it's not a bug, but the variable-dialog is quite unclear. Please try as follows: 1. Create new document 2. Press Ctrl+F2, go to Variables tab 3. Lets create a variable 3a.enter TestVar in Name field 3b.enter TestVal in Value 3c.CHOOSE TEXT in FORMAT press Insert and press Close. Now you have the text in the variable. So I think Format = Standard requires numbers, but that's not clear. Could you solve the problem? => set to NEEDINFO -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104205 --- Comment #2 from Dmitry Yakimov --- I do not understand why we need a "format" field for variable at all, but assume that "general" format type should work with all types of variables (text, number and so on). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
