The issue is NOT Wayland related.

I could reproduce it in a XOrg Gnome session.

But: I deleted .config/libreoffice, and my charts are back (:

Thanks guys for looking into this!

I just tested with a F27 Beta Live USB, the issue is not reproducable in that
setup with LO 5.4.

Maybe I'm having a misconfiguration on my laptop, though. I switched to Fedora
from Ubuntu keeping my settings, and upgraded from F24 to F26.

I'll check as soon as F27 is out and leave a comment here.

Andy: is it the same with LibreOffice 5.4.2 for you?

Sorry for the late reply. The issue is not reproduced, I was able to draw and
display the graph properly with the following environment including Wayland
running on Ubuntu:

• Ubuntu 17.10 x64-bits
• LibreOffice: Version: 5.4.2.2
 Build ID: 22b09f6418e8c2d508a9eaf86b2399209b0990f4
 CPU threads: 1; OS: Linux 4.13; UI render: default; VCL: gtk2;
 Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group

Yes I think there's a chance of that being the issue, since it's graphics
related.

On Ubuntu 16.04 you should be able to start an experimental Wayland session
from the login menu.

Could you please try to reproduce that way?

Thank you for the reply,

Actually I am not using Wayland! Do you think it has effect on the issue?

Thanks for checking.

I do know though, how to create charts, and I'm seeing that issue for over a
year now. On my setup it's 100 % reproducible.

Did you use Wayland on your Ubuntu test machine?

The issue doesn’t reproduce. Just make sure that you select the cells
containing the data to make in the Chart, click “Insert Chart” either from
Insert menu or from the tool bar, choose a Chart Type then you’ll get your
desired graph.

Tested on :
• Operating system : Ubuntu 16.04.3 64-bits.
• LibreOffice :Version: 5.4.2.2
