This problem is far from resolved. Impress will not save master view if
program is closed and PC is rebooted. For example, if I change opening master
view to use Calibri font instead of Arial and/or I change the indents or other
aspects of a typical outline-type presentation slide, they are not saved. When
I go make another presentation, I get the original Impress master view.
Apparently, those who are in charge of Impress think that their choices or
fonts and other aspects are the ones to use.

If you want details, please tell me how I should send you the slide copy or
other data you need,

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120666] FILESAVE does not save master view

2018-11-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120666

--- Comment #5 from j...@lauterbachandassociates.net ---
I was again able to duplicate this problem with Version: 6.1.2.1
Build ID: 1:6.1.2-0ubuntu1. I setup a master view and saved it as Test
presentation.odp. I closed master view expecting to see my first slide ready
to add text to it. However, clicking on Click to add text does not put the
cursor in top left hand corner of text pane, ready to add text following a
bullet. It puts the cursor in the center of the text pane. Moreover, if I
close out of impress and do a file new, I get what I believe to be the default
master view.

There is a problem with the version of Impress that comes with Ubuntu 18.10.

When I go to add the odp file as an attachment, it takes me to a new page, and
I lose this text.

Please tell me how to add or send you the problem presentation.

John

Thank you for reporting the bug. To be certain the reported issue is not
related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your
Libreoffice profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and
re-test?

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the issue is still present

Please note that spacing and bullet changes were not saved. Essentially, the
default master view took over.
