[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121166] TRACK CHANGES: linked files changes are not shown in the master document
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121166 --- Comment #18 from QA Administrators --- Dear Emanuele Gissi, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Warm Regards, QA Team MassPing-UntouchedBug -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121166 --- Comment #10 from Emanuele Gissi --- Hi all, this bug is preventing us to assemble a full document while showing the tracked changes. We need the full document together, otherwise the references are all broken. May I kindly ask if anybody is working on that? How can I facilitate a solution to this issue? How could I circumvent the problem in the meantime? The linked documents could combine in the master and TC should work as it was one file. There might be the idea to have different TC comment colors per document but color is reserved to the authors. Would understand the issue as a bug not an enhancement that needs UX. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121166] TRACK CHANGES: linked files changes are not shown in the master document
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121166 --- Comment #7 from Emanuele Gissi --- @Drew In my opinion, just *showing* the changes of the linked files in the master document would be enough as a start. When using a master document, the linked files are often (and reasonably) read-only. The change tracking (accept/refuse) can be done by opening each linked file, as already allowed by the current UI. (This would also be much faster to implement, before an hypothetical full rework of the feature) Thank you, Emanuele -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121166] TRACK CHANGES: linked files changes are not shown in the master document
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121166 --- Comment #6 from Drew Jensen --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #5) > needsUXEval needs CC ux-advise OK, I'll try to remember that. So anyway, I was thinking that a tree view would be a good way to display this type of sub-document change tracking. It would require quite the rework of the manage changes UI however. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
