We discussed the topic in the design meeting. While good templates are
appreciated we do have a couple of working examples, done via contest since v5.
The better place to share shiny stuff is the extensions site and every input is
welcome there.

Which one exactly do you have in mind?

Which exactly? Keep in mind that templates are perfect suited for extensions.
So what we ship is not necessarily the best but ideally shows what's possible.

new templates (for all apps) are very welcome.

I would suggested to open an issue at the github accound to ask if the designer
is interested in add templates to LibO core and the other templates to the
extension.libreoffice.org page.

In general I'm intersted in have links to the github page at
https://documentation.libreoffice.org. see bug 132034

Indeed, so don't hesitate to check these and indicate which good-looking ones
would be compatible.

First thing is license should be compatible.
LO license:
MPLv2/LGPLv3+ dual license
see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/GetInvolved

License from the site you quoted:
The MIT License (MIT)
see
https://github.com/dohliam/libreoffice-impress-templates/blob/master/LICENSE

I'm not a lawyer so can't tell if it's ok.
If it's not, you can try to convince the author to change it.
