In that thread they suggested this:

"What we can do is to change your login information to a
bogus address and then disable it from being used further."

I did just something that's pretty close. I changed my email address to an
alias. I'll disable that alias after this post. If you write again, I won't see
it.

Best of luck with everything in your life!

I don't know either.

According to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=700058, a user
account in Bugzilla can't be deleted by the user.

Hi Ming,

Thanks again for chiming in, I appreciate it.

I actually have an Associate Law degree. I always read Terms and Conditions and
I had expected that someone would refer to:

Please note that all contributions to The Document
Foundation Bugzilla are *considered* to be released under ...

To be *considered* is an assumption, it is not something I agreed to.

I'm happy that you found the licensing of Launchpad's bug tracker:
"All bug comments are the property of the people who created them."
because that confirms what I wrote.

Thank you again for your contribution. I think that debate is always good.

Would you know how I cancel my account here? (I can't find it.)

Hi bart-dn,

I'm not a lawyer, just a layman interested in open source copyright and
licensing stuff, so feel free to ignore my opinion.

Like I said, at the bottom of each Bugzilla page (including this one), there is

"Copyright information: Please note that all contributions to The Document
Foundation Bugzilla are considered to be released under the Creative Commons
Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License, unless otherwise specified."

So saying you haven't granted licenses to anyone doesn't make it so.

Copyright and licensing are two separate issues. For the licensing of
Launchpad's bug tracker, there is this:

"All bug comments are the property of the people who created them. Metadata and
statistics generated by the Launchpad Bug Tracker are the property of Canonical
Ltd and may be used freely for any purpose as long as accreditation and the
Launchpad URL are given along with that data."

from https://help.launchpad.net/Legal, which sounds close enough to BY-SA to
me.

The problem is, here on LibreOffice Bugzilla there's nothing we can do or want
to do unless there is a legal issue. The reasonable-ness issue is probably
best raised in Ubuntu/Launchpad channels.

Just my two cents.

Thank you for chiming in, I checked a few things and this is what I found:

https://creativecommons.org/faq/#who-gives-permission-to-use-material-offered-under-creative-commons-licenses
:

"Our licenses and legal tools are intended for use by anyone who holds
copyright in the material. This is often, but not always, the creator."

I'm the creator of my posts, and I haven't granted licenses under CC-BY-SA to
anyone. Ubuntu's Launchpad cannot use my work as they please.

  I also found the following:

https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ :

"If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your
contributions under the same license as the original."

This means that Ubuntu's Launchpad had to add something like:
"This information was released under CC-BY-SA"

Instead, at the bottom of that page I find:
   "© 2004-2020 Canonical Ltd".

Actually, I'm not interested in the legal aspects of this topic. I'm more
interested in the reasonable aspects of this topic.

I have a lot of appreciation for all the people here who put their time and
effort in creating and improving LibreOffice.

Recently I participated in 26 bug reports. I installed several LibreOffice
versions, I checked bugs under Windows and Linux/Debian, I made numerous screen
copies, etc. etc. It's a lot of work and that's okay.

If however, the result of my blood, sweat and tears is that my work can be
copied by anyone who likes to copy it, then my motivation is gone.
