The [Ctrl+M] shortcut still doesn't work for me, but I just found the cause. It turned out that after some update, Skype includes many keyboard shortcuts, including [Ctrl+M]. I didn't notice this before, because although I regularly Skype with my family members, I don't use Skype shortcuts. My source document was created in Google Docs. I exported it to ODT format and copied some sections from it into a new document created in Writer. The copied text included, among other things, a header style “Heading 1”. When I copied this piece of text into Writer, the original “Heading 1” style was replaced with other “Heading 1” style copied from a document created in Google. As a result, all the “Heading 1” style lines in my new document started to look different. I thought that format cleaning was not working. Meanwhile, this function worked correctly, but the style definition was automatically changed. In that case, it may not be a bug, but – in my opinion – in such a situation the Writer should at least warn that it is changing the style definition. It would be even better if it informed that the copied text has some styles indicated and asked whether to copy them to Writer and replace the existing styles. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Direct formatting is removed when "Format" > "Clean Direct Formatting" is used on characters copied from another document. Could you please provide a document as test case?
