Couldn't see a difference between LO Writer and MS Word. General Window
settings provide o good solution. Since I'm not a Linux user I don't know, if
there is a similar option, that would solve the problem.

In WIN10 there is a setting for text cursor width:

But I only see an effect in WIN OS UI, not in Apps. At least without reboot.
