The first method, the one that doesn't cause problem, is to simply print a page directly through a printer or to a pdf. The other one (the one that fails to import in Draw) is supposed to generate the files you send to a PCB manufacturer in a specific file format, but it also can output pdf. This pdf contains the text as actual text that you can select in any pdf viewer.
