I don't think it is a hardware issue as it is related to saving with a password and it works fine when there is no password. No slowness in saving. I'm wondering if it's a hardware issue with the disk in question. Do you mean that you edit the file for a while and it suddenly locks the sheet, or that you have to close-reopen several time until the issue arises?
