Bug ID: 153750 Summary: EDITING a formula in a Calc cell with Insert mode enabled does not delete previous chars Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: lo...@psychoros.com Created attachment 185481 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=185481&action=edit Four screenshots, bottom one first, editing steps above it I happened to open Calc with the Insert key on my Windows keyboard enabled. Went to edit a formula in a cell, and found chaos! The top data entry bar looks like it is working as expected, but replaced characters are not removed from the actual cell and formula! Except + and - are replaced... Took me awhile to comprehend what was happening, since I never use Insert mode in Calc sheets, and didn't even realize it was on - finally remembered seeing the wide cursor in text apps. If it had been properly replacing characters, I'd have caught on much sooner. See the sequence of staged screenshots, bottom one first, upper ones later. Version: 7.5.0.3 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: c21113d003cd3efa8c53188764377a8272d9d6de CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: default; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: threaded No idea if this happened in older versions, never tried it before. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
