[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 154750] cell condition interacts with different columns and rows
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154750 --- Comment #12 from Darrell O'Brien --- Created attachment 186648 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=186648&action=edit football tipping program open spreadsheet open enter tips select person enter team number 1 to 18 for team selection to fill cell alongside team number with team name from lookup table (total of nine teams)) if one team name from a choice of 2 teams (condition 1 and condition 2) for that same round match (Fixture round number) the condition is true and colours the cell in enter tips. example sheet enter tips select cell U32 enter team number 10 or 12 name of team is inserted into cell V32 (Round 6) from lookup table if team name matches Fixture sheet cell V11 (condition 1 ) if team name matches fixture sheet cell V12 (condition 2) V32 condition is true and colours cell to verify an entry is correct. continue for rest of matches. Problem What was happening was if I entered a team value in team Cell V32 the team name would appear and colour and change a random previous entry team name to no colour or team name of entered number would not confirm by changing to colour. As reported this has been working for 5 years and after update of Libre program this problem appeared. Now since I have reset auto calc it seams to work ok. I need to to wait until next week to confirm. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 154750] cell condition interacts with different columns and rows
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154750 --- Comment #11 from ady --- (In reply to Darrell O'Brien from comment #10) > The steps for conditions select cell, format condition popup screen equal to > (fixture sheet and corresponding cell set colour to excel 8.2.1 add > condition repeat for second condition. press ok. Your descriptions are not easy to understand. I am guessing now... In your attachment 186601 from comment 4, in worksheet "enter tips", all the conditional formats in that worksheet are of the form "Cell value" > "is equal to" and then you use some cell from the "FIXTURE" worksheet. This seems incorrect. "Cell value" > "is equal to" expects a value, not a formula pointing to another cell. In the conditional format dialog, you would need to select "Formula is" and then enter the formula in the next field (e.g. "=$FIXTURE.$B$11" without quotation marks). This is all based on a guess of what you might be trying to say. Please confirm whether this matches your expectations. If it isn't, then please explain in detail (step by step): 1. Which worksheet (tab) we should click on. 2. Which cell in that worksheet we should click on. 3. Which exact action we should perform next. 4. What is the current behavior. 5. What was the expected behavior. Up until this point, I don't understand what this report is about. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154750 --- Comment #10 from Darrell O'Brien --- 1. Check comment 8 for steps that cause problem. 2 After adding this weeks tips non colour cells were in the last downloaded file. I went to data, auto calculate (I must have changed auto calculate to off as when I restarted program all filled cells were blank, I turned on auto calculate and two cells per round per entrant were not coloured so I re conditioned non colour cells and copied programed cells to columns now with all cells to date are coloured. I will need to wait until next week to find out if there is any more problems. The steps for conditions select cell, format condition popup screen equal to (fixture sheet and corresponding cell set colour to excel 8.2.1 add condition repeat for second condition. press ok. how can I reduce program to to show random problem. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 154750] cell condition interacts with different columns and rows
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154750 --- Comment #8 from Darrell O'Brien --- I print out the pages from fixture sheet and supply it to people who do the tipping then they cut off each week and return section with their tips I then enter the teams number for program to lookup team name selected by the people tipping in sheet enter tips and use the condition to check input is referenced to Fixture sheet sme times cell doe's not show colour and I have to check condition programing and re program conditioning and on completing conditioning program a different cell in a previous weeks entry will go no colour so I have tried to check condition program of cell that change and have seen that the cell reference has changed so I reprogram cell that was changed and find that the data entered cell changes to no colour. Then I give up. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

When I entered correct data in round 4 for Roy Gater some of the cells under his name stayed no colour and various cells in column B changed from colour to non colour. I deleted the conditioning in both Roy Gater cells and Column B and redid conditioning to all Roy Gater's Cells and some of cleared colour cell in Column B changed to colour all but one cell. You could try this if you put the correct data in round six from data in Fixture sheet and see if it clears colour in and previous cells.
