Thank you. I tried 3.4.5, which is the oldest I'm able to obtain, but it crashes too. Shame, that they don't keep copies of older releases for a while :-( I will have to use open office 3.3, but I won't see the table though. It text looks like in Word 2007, the display quality of the table (fonts) and the logo is slightly better in Word 2007. Does your 3.3.4 display also the table in docx?
