In Japanese the same small circle is used at the end of a sentence like in Chinese. I agree with 廉兴宇 that the punctuation mark 。 at the end of the line does not refresh properly. 2. Since the hanging punctuation does not refresh, I cannot use the mouse to select this punctuation mark. 3. This punctuation mark is not shown in the table in the document I am submitting. 4. a) File-> Export as PDF -> PDF/A-1a -> Export-> Type a file name-> Save b) The punctuation mark appears in the PDF file. It is missing in the OpenDocument Text file. 5. I can select the other text in the sample paragraph to change the attribute of the paragraph in this sample document. 6. File-> Open-> the sample document-> Select the text (with the punctuation mark 。 at the end of the line)-> Format-> Paragraph-> Asian Typography-> Check Allow hanging punctuation-> OK 7. Select the text (with the punctuation mark 。 at the end of the line)-> Format-> Paragraph-> Asian Typography-> Uncheck Allow hanging punctuation-> OK 8. Repeat points 6 and 7 to see the difference. 9. This issue exists when choosing different language settings: Tools-> Options-> Language Settings-> Languages-> Enabled for Asian languages-> a) Chinese (traditional) b) Chinese (simplified) c) Chinese (Hong Kong) d) Chinese (Macau) e) Chinese (Singapore) f) Japanese g) Korean Operating system used: Linux debian 2.6.32-5-686 #1 SMP Sun Sep 23 09:49:36 UTC 2012 i686 GNU/Linux (Linux). LibreOffice version(s) used: 1. LibreOffice version 3.6.3.2 (Build ID: 58f22d5) 2.
