Writer now allows to create the envelope, so I think this issue can be closed. Have you make any changes in these couple of days ? Do you reproduce this on a brand new document ? Have you tried with a brand new LO profile (see http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile) ? Would it be possible you get an useful backtrace by following this link ?
