I don't remember the version number but it was the latest version at the time of the initial bug report. I had tried it in Windows xp professional greek, if I remember well I tried it in Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit English as well with the same (buggy) behaviour. Windows xp sp3 I don't know if it could have some relation, I have installed LibreOffice to replace a previous installation of OpenOffice 3 which didn't even open. The problem is there for all spreadsheets or one in particular? For all spreadsheets even empty ones, but it ceased temporarily after a repair-installation. I haven't yet tried deinstallation-reinstallation. That contains (the) cells concerned? Have you tried to reset your user profile cf. http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile No, but I haven't really used it other than opening some files which crashed and I was offered the recovery feature. (I'll try it anyway) This has solved the problem of OpenOffice not opening at all ( :)) but as of LibreOffice nothing has changed (I have uninstalled LibreOffice 5, deleted LibreOffice user profile, Installed LibreOffice 6, oppened a new calc document; with all cells being blank clicking format cells either from menu or from context menu sends LibreOffice to crash.)
