I still see some details needing clearing up:

a) Is it a FILESAVE or a FILEOPEN problem? We also have some MS WORD document
FILEOPEN problems, may be there is a relation?

b) Any knowledge whether that also was a problem with more early LibO Versions?

Installer it's really very easy to install some few versions (I recommend the
last of a major release, for example 3.5.7.2, 3.4.6) in parallel to find out
where a problem came up)

Confirmed with LO 4.0 Beta 1 on Windows 7.

But the connector isn't deleted, it just moves to a different place.
