Priority: medium Bug ID: 60426 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Make Upgrade default in Windows 7 Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Windows (All) Reporter: rene.pe...@hotmail.de Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.0.0.0.beta2 Component: Installation Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 74356 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=74356&action=edit Shows the current installation dialog with user defined installation It should be quite common that users are installing a new LibreOffice version to replace an existing one and not in order to use them side by side. However, the Windows installer doesn't offer any visual hint on how to upgrade. You have to manually select the folder of the existing installation and hope for the best. It shouldn't be hard to add an option to switch between "upgrade existing installation" and "install side by side to existing installation". Another element in this game is the default installation folder. It should be "LibreOffice" from my perspective, not "LibreOffice vX". -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
